A date for your diaries... Tuesday 3rd November, the Nottingham Lions will be hosting the GB U20s team again, helping them with their preparation for the World Championships in France, mid-December. The U20s won all of their 5 games in Estonia last winter, gaining promotion - and whilst it would probably be a little bit cheeky to claim that the Lions helped towards that by giving them a warm-up game last year, it certainly can't have done any harm. So the Lions are doing the same again this year.
Face-off at 7:30pm in the Olympic Rink, I believe that all tickets are just £3.
Panthers interest - Connor Glossop, who iced for the Panthers in the pre-season and impressed a fair few people, is both a Lions player and on the GB U20s team... so I have no idea which jersey he'll be pulling on for this one! (probably GB, to be honest...). But he's not the only up-and-coming player likely to be icing who might be seen in black & gold on the main ice pad in the next year or two...
All are welcome!

And some more information on the game... <here>For the first time in years, both Alan and Marc Levers playing on the same team! I can't remember the last time I saw that... And by the looks of it, top Lions scorer and Panthers prospect Connor Glossop will be playing for the GB U20s... hardly surprising, as he's named on the GB squad.

It's about time Panthers fostered that relationship with the Lions with the commitment it deserves rather than just stripping them of players whenever it suits them.
Real two way deals with support for the Lions in pushing guys to the next level.

Junior Teams to ENL = Lions to EPL = Phantoms to EIHL = Panthers

Junior Teams to ENL = Lions to EPL = Phantoms to EIHL = Panthers Very true though Peterborough have their own ENL outfit so I'm not sure if that complicates it on that level. Though that said it shouldn't as it would just give a larger junior pool to choose from. I say junior but some of these ENL teams are loaded with senior and veteran players. We need a pure under 21 national league.
