Currently we are only winning 1 in 4 matches against our Erhardt rivals, a 25% win ratio, and we have a 54 % win ratio year to date against all teams.
I know it's too early to push the panic button, but is it me or is anyone else worried how vulnerable we are looking in defence? I know it sounds silly when you consider how good Miika has been but a stat like this and having only 2 full time D is going to catch us up and cost us the league.
Discuss?

We've lost 2 games in the league - 1 in OT and one in regulation. Look at the other teams around us and they have a similar record. If all teams win their games in hand which obviously can't happen because they'll play each other. Yet IF they did, we'd have more points than Sheffield, Belfast and Cardiff. Some perspective is needed. If we lose more over the next few weeks then maybe changes are needed but it's typical of this fanbase to over react to a zero point weekend.

Not reacting to a zero point weekend tbh, genuinely worried about our defence and think it'll cost us dear in the league, hope I'm wrong but I am concerned.

Okay let's use the stats: our defence has kept opposition shots down to 365 shots in total, the second lowest in the league. Our defence is the only defence to not concede 5 goals or more this season. Our defence has had injuries and not had replacements which I get is frustrating but jeez people let's check ourselves a bit before we get all worked up. The vast majority of the conference games we have played so far this season have been cup games - 2 of which were played after we had already qualified.
Waugh will add to this defence and I really think sometimes getting ringers in short term can be somewhat detrimental . It's easy sitting behind a keyboard saying "panthers should do this and should do that" but no one truly knows who we've spoke to or what they are doing. Have panthers ever not signed a layer mid season in recent seasons? No. It's October 20th, were third with a chance to go top.

History has shown us 50% is acceptable But you need 70-80% overall to win the league.

A 0 point weekend is easy to over-react after but we're doing alright. Not spectacular by any means but who is? If Belfast and Sheffield were running away with it then i'd be concerned whilst we find our feet but they're not. The moaning about the budget is predictable but harsh. We've always spent what we've needed to, we spent a fortune on the CHL last year and have frequently carried a spare. The more likely situation is that there's nobody affordable who's available for the length of time we need them who will improve the team at all. Or maybe some of the D are back soon. Don't always need to be so cynical lads.

Seasons over. No point watching. Steelers win the league. See you in Seotember.
Rabble rabble rabble
I'm sure Neilson knows he has work to do. I'd rather have this issue now whilst time to fix it. It's all part of the game.

Of course a 25% win ratio is not good enough, but there are reasons for it.
There are plenty of things that are good enough happening at the moment.
Without our injuries I would imagine it would be higher, and with an additional defenceman bought in we would comfortably be contending to win trophies.

Of course it's not good enough. Yes we have injuries, but you REACT TO IT like Sheffield have done, not sit on your laurels with FIVE players either out injured, missing or not even signed !!!!!!
One player out, maybe two you can live with but we are missing almost 25% of our roster, you cannot live with that for long and expect to win a league. Very soon we are into a horrible and very long schedule of away games,if Panthers don't do something quick we are going to be out of contention by mid December !!!!!!

I'm guessing he just feels that the club don't try their best to win which as a fan of said club is pretty frustrating.

You are 100% correct there ftm.
I just want Panthers to win and that means them doing all they can to try to do it. It is so frustrating to watch when they don't always appear to do so,yet continue to seemingly know no limits to the efforts put into selling tickets etc.

Good performances, results, signings. Generally your post count stops or slows, which is why many people think of you as being so negative.

Nate / Shorty its just a stupid comment whether its stood by or not just makes you look a bigger one thats all, which is why it is best to comment on facts such as a lack of players than short term individual games. I am sure like me he wants the team to do well and not signing a full compliment of import players especially with the money spent on brits doesnt NOW look with hindsight to be the best idea especially as they cant be replaced. IF we had signed a full compliment of imports though the brit losses wouldnt be hitting us quite as hard now would it?...
