flipping Nora, good idea poorly executed, Its a bit boring with them just shoved in the corner of the office answering inane questions and looking fairly uncomfortable pretending to enjoy GM awful attempts at humour. Too much of it led by GM for me, with everyone plodding on behind him, should be more of a discussion with everyone contributing questions which is guided by the presenter rather than a question and answer session. Hopefully when they have some highlights of matches to show and can comment on them it will break up the monotony and the obvious awkwardness. It does looks like a cheap attempt, The idea is good so why not fork out a few quid for a decent backdrop, some lapel mics and decent presenters (GM - don't worry if your not at the forefront of everything you won't get forgotten). I'm sure there are a few people with a modicum of experience and charisma who could do this.... possibly someone not directly connected or employed by the club so can be slightly more objective, independent and enthusiastic.... a professional!! Unfortunately I can't see this progressing without GM mitts (and face) all over it so may not imrove on this format, however, my glass is generally half full so lets see what happens when we get some actual events to report on and discuss and hope for more content and improvements... P.S. the 'Grimaldi' award is a terrible idea (in name at least anyway), why promote someone who thrives on self-promotion and ego? surely the best way to deal with a pratt like him is to ignore/forget him... they even promote him on the opening video clips .. surely an image of us lifting the league trophy or showing some other triumph (maybe Shmyr fist bumping the shuff bench after he scored) would be more appropriate ;-)

Thought the second edition was a bit better, mainly because Swindlehurst was a more confident and open guest than Stevie Lee the first week. Particularly enjoyed the discussion about GB team and dual nationals, and the occasions where Corey gets the chance to relax a bit and make a dry comment or observation.
The "awards" thing could be good if done right - i.e. if nominations from fans, players etc. are accepted and actually considered rather than it going to the person GM has already decided on for his own reasons. No need to labour the point on Grimaldi, people aren't stupid.
The Lefebvre picture thing was unnecessary, Corey looked so embarrassed at the opponents' coach being treated that way. If it had been any other Panthers player but P. Moran in the photo it would never have been used anyway. That was the kind of thing that you can do in a fans' TV show or podcast but not an official club one.
Don't see the point in the "balcony" thing - in what world are the guy who prints the programme and his young son (no offence to them) legitimate guests for a professional sport team's official pre-season TV broadcast?
As others have said, it might be better when there are matches and incidents to discuss but it definitely needs more "oomph" - a less wooden and cringeworthy presentation style, bits filmed somewhere other than the office, a few more varied features (player profiles, day in the life of a player/coach/physio, look back at teams or players of the past in our anniversary season - there are numerous possibilities).
Credit to the Panthers for introducing the TV show, but I think it needs to be fresh and use different talent and ideas to the same old GM/office staff people.

To be fair to GM, which I don't like to be, Corey seems to be difficult to interview - its just not his scene. I think it might have been Giants TV, when asked what he said to the team at the break, he replied "I have the words". End of interview. No doubt Rick will be on soon, speaking at a great rate of knots leaving GM in his wake. Good idea and hopefully they can build on it. Perhaps a fan on there wouldn't be a bad idea if uncle Joseph (GM) could find one to tow the party line.

The interview he did with AVFTB in the summer is great... Why the hell was that sort of interview not sorted out by our own team?! The best interview with the coach during the off-season about his approach to recruitment etc and it comes from a "rival" team!! That baffles me.

What are your thoughts on the TV show though BigLad? It's ok for what it is. Preferred TCW though if I'm honest. I HATE the Joseph Grimaldi thing though, makes me cringe.

A huge improvement in this week's TV show, I have to say I really enjoyed it. Gary's presentation style was much less excitable and cringeworthy, as though he was relaxing more into doing it. It helped that the interviewees seemed more comfortable with the format than Corey obviously is. Once I realised the one on the left was Logan MacMillan and not stand up comic Rhod Gilbert, he spoke very well, as did Matt Myers. Thought Dan Green was excellent in terms of how he comes across on camera and I'd certainly like to see him have a role in future episodes if he wants to. The guy doing the interviews on the balcony was also miles better than previously. Looking forward to seeing guests who aren't sponsors on that bit at some stage though. It definitely helped having games to discuss and preview as there was less need to pad it out.
Overall, it showed very promising signs. Good to see this welcome venture from the club moving in a positive direction and hope the trend will continue.

yeah I enjoyed this weeks effort more than the previous ones.
What's happened to "The Locker Room" however?
Typically now Notts TV is available on Sky, it doesn't seem to be on anymore!

Notts TV on Sky are currently showing the 'Locker Room' from last season on channel 117. Use the search button and you will find them all. Hope the format is a bit different this season as some of the guests did not always get a chance to say much and looked a bit bored.

Did anyone find the sound was really low. I tried to watch it on different formats (PC : TV : Tablet : Phone etc.,)to try to get it louder but it made no difference. Played other Teams match highlights and the sound on them all was ok. No problem with the Panthers Radio interviews neither, just Panthers TV!

We'd all like Cats Whiskers to do this BUT it wouldn't be on their terms.Puppets only. Diverse ideas come from neutral/ other persons but this is home grown and thus as similar to all that comes out of HQ..

Much better this week, more relaxed and might even go as far to say I quite enjoyed it... bar the Grimaldi cringe fest.

Would've liked more highlights/discussion of highlights, why did we only see the shots? There's still a fair bit of irrelevant waffle, hearing about Joe Myers' job in insurance?
I'm glad they did away with the first bit with Gary's applause/"thanks guys" entrance and appear to have let the office staff get on with their day instead of standing around. Maybe next they'll get rid of his awards, none of the guests have come up with anything amusing, seems pointless, even Gary's preordained winner isn't funny and he's had a week to think it up.
It's OK, it could be better.

Is The Locker Room definitely coming back? It was a good watch last season and even better with Notts TV now on Sky. I'm hoping that the Panthers 'TV show' (surely not a TV show as it's not on TV) is going to be additional to TLR and not a replacement. It's an alright watch but obviously has an agenda and definitely not superior to TLR in any way. I just hope this wasn't an attempt to cut the legs of TLR as I think that would be a massive shame. Any coverage outside of the website, especially on TV in any form, is a massive bonus for the organisation. We need more eyes on the product, not less.

TLR seem to have more highlights and more analysis of the game(s) played the week before - the Panther TV shows seems more geared to player interviews (and sponsor plugs). Throw in TCW with their fans perspective view and we whould be happy that there is a bit of choice out there.

Now we have the Gary Moran show it may stripped back if it does return. The club made some postive steps over the summer with media issues and it looked one GM had let someone take the reigns but now he is back front and centre and is more cringeworthy than ever.

I don't think that The Locker Room will have any highlights from home games, might be wrong, but I'd imagine that'll be a Panthers TV's Checking It Out With The GMB exclusive.
