The Panthers have had a couple of seasons now that I feel have polarized the fan base towards various issues.
This has led to many tense threads where insults and derogatory comments have been made (I have been on both sides) and divides in the fan base have turned into casms.
We sometimes forget we all have one thing in common, we love ice hockey and that should help us get on but it doesn't because we are all just user names.
Maybe we could post a little about our real lives, as much or as little as you want just to humanize the name tags a bit. This may or may not work.
I'll go first:
I'm Nate or Nath, either or. I'm 32 and married and have a 2 year old girl and moved to Nottingham a couple of year ago but have followed Panthers for about 10 years.
I work at the QMC and spend most my days helping people suffering from various injuries and illlnesses.
I like mountain biking, photography and reading. If I'm not at the rink I like to be outdoors somewhere away from the hussle and bussle of the City.
That's a rough outline of me.
Nice to meet you all, even Wannabe!

I'm Kieran, I'm in my mid 20s and married, no kids. Live in Leicester and started watching the panthers a couple of years ago whilst living in Derby(3-2 in regulation against the devils after having watched them get trounced 5-0 on premier sports the previous day). Watched Hockey on NHL gamecenter since I started Uni (Let's go Blues), but had never lived anywhere with a Hockey team so when I was up here decided to take it in and have got me and the missus season tickets for the upcoming season.
I work as an engineer, currently working on Jags and Land Rovers, previously on jet engines. In my spare time I am probably staring at a computer screen playing games, or keeping track of how my 3 sporting loves - Ipswich Town, St Louis Blues and Panthers - are doing.

I'm Stephen, 27, living in Bilborough, Nottingham with my partner Alice. No kids, but three dogs (Bully Bordeaux, French X English Bulldog, Toy Chihuhua. I work as an IT techie for a ticket company in central Notts.
I've loved hockey for as long as i can remember, key points growing up with the mighty duck films, and playing NHL video games (NHL Hitz was ridiculous but incredible) Although it was only about 3-4 years ago when I moved to Nottingham that I actually got to attend a game, hooked on Panthers since then!
I've attempted a few scrims to get into playing, and I skate well but forget the puck! Unfortunately money and time restraints seem to constantly get in the way!
I play a lot of video games including the drug like addiction to World of Warcraft -.-
As for NHL teams, I've always followed the Bruins, and recently due to Forsberg being interesting to watch I've been following Preds.
Nice to meet everyone!

Real name Mick Chambers....could not hide as far too many people know me.lol With the changes , as have been following hockey since inception the second time around, there are fewer in the crowd that I know the face of as new people arrive to the fold but history has had me doing a few things re hockey.Like, Steward, supporters committee member (away bus),starting Gym Hockey, been a past member of UK hockey writers with fingers in so many pies here and with following GB team. Now on a new venture which has taken zillions of seasons it seems, of an ameteur novel which includes some cage members, ex-players etc... Living in Giltbrook with girlfriend who has JUST joined me from Banbury and she is a keen fan too. See less games now because of cash flow and my frustration built upon the running of the sport etc...(those issues nate speaks of)...no children, one staffy-cross dog, ready for retirement and maybe able to hit a few more games, either home or away, to keep my stats/writing interests.

My name is Ben, i'm 18 and live in Nottingham. I've been a fan of the Panthers since i was about 5 and have been to every home game for the past few seasons, i also try to make it to as many of the nearer away games as i can too. My love for Ice Hockey began when i was 5, my grandparents gave me a Vancouver Canucks jersey as a gift upon returning from the great city, i still have that jersey today and boy is it tiny! This is where my support for the Canucks originates from.
I started playing Ball Hockey around this time last year, i joined a team and played for them throughout 2014-15 but due to other commitments i was unable to play much. I like to write about hockey but have never really given anything other than forum posts a shot.

I am Steve, I have been following Panthers since they reformed in the 80's. I have been a season ticket holder since 2002, Used to go with the kids but they have now grown up and cannot afford their own season tickets so only go to a few games. I am 67 and have been working for myself since I was forced to retire in 2012. On a personal note I have been married for 38 years and had 4 children 3 girls & 1 boy, (I lost my youngest daughter Katie in 2006). Could write a book about my life and the ups and downs but it would probably bore everyone. Likes other than Ice Hockey are cricket, fishing and walking the dogs (staffie & greyhound)

My name is Amy & I live just outside of Nottingham, I love Science and will start studying Forensics at Nottingham Trent University in September so when an inevitable angry mob of Panthers fans forms in Coventry and someone mauls down Stewart I'll be able to tell which one of you did it

Not sure about this anonymity is good!!
Well Dave England, one of the original members of grumps corner in Bunkers Hill and a founding member of the GT awards, 2 teenagers boy and girl, dragged them to hockey but now refuse to go, been masochistically watching panthers since I first borrowed a reservation ticket in the old barn, progressed to getting my own then on to a season ticket which stopped a few years back when poor performances coupled with shift patterns made the decision much easier than it should have been.. Oh and work in IT looking after very big computers...
Incidentally Texpef on the PlayStation and Xbox drop me a line if you are online..

Well most people probably know me due to my other commitments at the Arena. But for those who don't
My Name is Jevon and I am 20 years of age.
I first watched Panthers about 5 years ago in a game against the Squeelers but that was a one off but a game in which we won and I had my first hit of the Panthers bug, After this I waited a few more month before being asked a few times whether I would like to go and went to a fair few games even buying tickets for the games I didn't have one for. I remember being there for the Challenge Cup win against Sheffield in a 2 legged affair then seeing the team win the play-off's, but I didn't see the league win.
After this I got myself a season ticket and loved every minute starting in block 4 before moving up to Block 18 when that was started and I also loved every minute of being in there, meeting some good people. This season though I am in block 14 and Im looking forward to being behind the away players bench.
Also in the arena I hold many roles for other teams, I started with the Nottingham Mavericks before adding the Nottingham Vipers of which I do the Music and Announcements for them, However my biggest one is the Lions who I do the Music for and have done for half a season. This season I am selling programmes for the Panthers and this is a role I am looking forward to undertaking.

Here goes.
My name is Ian Braisby. I'm 42 and I've been watching the Panthers since they reformed in 1980 - my first game as a 7 year old was the third one after the club came back. So basically I can't really remember not being a Panthers fan. Originally went with my dad (who continued attending at least semi-regularly until he passed away), sister (who still has the season ticket next to me in Block 13 Row S) and two uncles (who still go along with my two cousins). Favourite ever players are Jim Keyes, Ross Lambert, Trevor Robins and David Beauregard.
I am married with no kids and live in Birmingham. Moved here from Nottingham to study and ended up settling here afterwards. My wife's not a hockey fan, she used to come to a couple of games a year generally at Christmas but doesn't even do that now.
I have my own business and work as a translator (German - English) and tour guide (tours in the Midlands and all over the UK, mainly in German, also do Ghost Walks in Birmingham and Warwick). When I'm not working I love music (Springsteen fanatic but enjoy most rock music), reading, learning about history, doing quizzes and crosswords and drinking real ale. I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome two years ago so I've been spending lots of time dealing with that and writing blogs about it lately. I enjoy writing (when in the mood) and hopefully people have enjoyed the occasional stuff I write for the Cats Whiskers blog.
