Id keep: Killer, Wild, Mosey, Cohen, Benedict and Doucet I'd go along with this with the possible exception of Kowalski (purely from a fitness point of view). He's missed a lot of hockey over the last couple of years and ain't getting any younger. If he is to be replaced, not Modig please. He's adequate, but gives up a lot of rebounds and I'm sure there's better out there. Cast the net wider a find a 'new' Kowalski.

Kwall Wild (prority) Cohen Landry Higgins Jacina Mosey Doucet Would love to see Salters return. Lepine although I doubt it would happen. Looking at his age and EPL scoring this kid looks like worth keeping tabs on. Ivan Antonov. www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=183997

Also, he probably has a job for life but *if* we play the same style on Thursday with the same outcome I would question the coaching staffs nouse as well I have to say.

Boxey - yes. Lacho, fancy play, makes the moves but not a great output Lee - was not having a good season before his injury Clarke - is he going to be as effective after all the shoulder issues?

Definitely Keep:-
Kowalski - fitness and retirement plans permitting. The best NM we've had since Robins.
Wild - our stand out D man this season. Really do realise how much he brings to the team when he's not playing as he's so badly missed. Cohen - often looks head and shoulders above anyone else on the ice, would be great to get a full season out of him. Landry - very steady d-man who has also chipped in with the odd goal here and there. Often goes un-noticed which can be a good thing.
Mosey - find of the season, not sure if his best position is D or F though? Serious speed and always gives 100%.
Doucet - the sniper we were crying out for, very quick too. Came in a bit too late sadly but would love to see him back. Benedict - not his best season points wise but leads by example and his work rate is immense. Bring him back and give him the 'C' too.
Keep all of the Brits and also try to get more games out of Betteridge, Hook and Cownie. Hopefully roll 4 lines next season.
Upgrade on:-
Berube - poor, my first one through the exit door. Would give him a piggy back to the airport. Schmidt - average, expected more from him, maybe the years have caught up with him. Jacina - average, never been a huge fan and not seen enough this season to change my opinion of him. Lawrence - frustratingly inconsistent, puts up decent points and can be very good at times but nowhere near often enough unfortunately. Graham - not the same without Ling, been a huge disappointment this season.
Undecided:-
Higgins - not delivered, although this may be down to bad luck with injuries. Would have him down as a maybe. Parent - steady; we can do better although wouldn't be too disgruntled if he came back as he has a great work ethic & has toughness too.

Interested on peoples thoughts on re-signing players having a bad season and if past seasons should be a factor. I realise its probably different for Brits / Imports.
Example being i think Benny isnt having his greatest season, but i'd still take him back based on his all time contribution to the club.
My old favourite arguement, different systems, outputs not as fancy so am i being harsh on Benny for not understanding what is required of him now.
The only two that concern me at present are Parent and Graham, i'd be happy to see the rest return although i'd happily take upgrades.

I'd bring back:
Kowalski - Since coming back from injury he has been lights out, but due to injury problems over the last 2 years I would bring in a young import netminder to give him the odd break (to perhaps play against some of the Gardiner conference teams), someone like Conway.
Wild - Head and shoulders our best d man this year, so calm and composed with the puck and very rarely turns it over. Our transitional play has suffered no end since he went down with injury.
One of Schmidt or Landry - Both are prone to the odd error and dodgy turnover (but what defenseman isn't in this league) but I would have only one back, I would only have one back because all our d men are pretty much the same size and I get the reasoning behind having more fluid skaters due to the bigger defensive zone but personally I would like a big guy back there (Henley, Oreskovic, Lepine).
Mosey - Dual national so no brainer really, says he wants to qualify to play for GB so why not with us. Constant hustle, frighteningly quick (fastest player in the league). Can't accuse him of ever taking a night off either.
Higgins - Feel we've never seen the best of him due to his constant injuries, however, since he came back from his last one he's been very good (and more productive than Robinson). Would love to see him fully healthy for a full season.
Jacina - For me you to have to overlook his relatively low point output, his contribution cannot be based on his points alone. Seems to have a knack for winding up the oppostion to (hello Cardiff) and when he gets engaged in the game in that sense the whole team seems to lift.
Parent - Excellent on the PK, need guys like that. Would be nice if he could produce like Francis but realistically are we going to get that lucky? But for what he brings to the team I would bring him back. A player in the Bergin mould, he's not going to deter players from making dirty plays but he wil hold them accountable if he's out there.
Benedict - I was worried that after his head injury he didn't look like the same player, but in the last few months I think he's been back to close to his best. Bring him back and make him captain full time, no knock on Clarke but I just think a gritty, non-stop workhouse type player makes a better captain (import or not).

The one question I'd have is if he is physically strong enough yet for the EIHL. All things being equal (injuries and attitude going well) then eventually he will make it, but maybe not for a couple of years.

Kowalski Wild Landry Mosey Higgins Doucet Benedict Extra dual-national/Euro allowed next season also so I'd be asking Mr Kowalski and Mr Benedict to apply for a UK passport All the Brits have to stay and add Betteridge full-time = 4 forward lines.

Kowalski
Wild, Landry and Cohen.
Benedict, Higgins, Doucet, Mosey (as a forward)
It's scary because that doesn't look like many. Schmidt and Berube haven't done anything wrong in my eyes but I just think there are better players out there. I like Schmidt on the Powerplay. There was a moment on Saturday where we were on a Powerplay (one of the rare occasions where we got set up in their zone) and Kwall was tapping his stick. Schmidt noticed it immediately and skated back to luckily block the pass to the Steeler coming out of the box. Now I know people might say "but that's what you expect" and I agree but the amount of times players break out of the box and go in 1 on 1 is quite high. His awareness is fantastic.
Jacina - wouldn't be annoyed if he came back. Been a lot better this season than last. If people need reminding of why he should come back then look at the impact he had on Boxing Day on his injury return. Ran through Sheffield like a human wrecking ball.
Lawrence - how weird is it saying you don't want your top goalscorer back? I really don't know. He puts up the stats but his all round other gameplay isn't great. Throws the odd hit if he's annoyed but other than that seems slow when he's not got the puck. Wicked Wristshot on him though. Best I've seen for a few years.
Parent- love this guy and all he does. He's like a physical Benedict for me. But I just feel as though he needs to produce a little more. His girlfriend does have a job at Virgin Active so whether that says something I don't know.
Graham- if we sign David Ling, bring him back, if not, sadly its a no from me. Loved him in the grandslam year but unfortunately not the player he was then.
As I stated above, I'd love Mosey back. One of my first for next year. Dual-national, quick as lightening, can play both positions but when we play him on defence we seriously limit our attack. He's a great transition player. Bring him back as a forward and can use him as injury cover on D too

it's a bit early, as some layers don't seem to peak until the final 3rd of the season and playoffs. where-as others may fade away at this time of year. but based on what we've seen, I'd keep K-wall - 2 consecutive shortened seasons doesn't bode well, but if he wants to stay and promises not have any more kids then yes. Landry - excellent skater, eye for a goal chance. Wild - solid and good on PP Jacina - does what is says on the tin, plus he's committed. Doesn't always make the right decision but never stops. Mosey - if he's a dual national.

Kowalski Wild Landry Maybe Doucet if his only job is to score goals
The rest I am not too fussed about import wise.
Brits Wise
Lee Farmer Boxil Lachowicz (although he does need to step up his game)
The rest can go including Clarke
I would go and try and get Cownie, betteridge and maybe hook in full time next year though, dont think you would go much wrong with a forth line of those, plus they are all good enough to fill in on the top 3 lines if we suffer injury problems again.

Really couldn't care less if any of the imports return nobody has had a stand out season. There will be just as good/better players out there available in the off season.

Keep
Kowalski - Yes, he's increasingly susceptible to injuries, but there's no doubt he's an excellent netminder. Green - Backup netminder in this country is a difficult job if we're honest, and Green is solid if unspectacular. But who else are we going to get?
Wild - One of the best offensive defencemen in the league. Throw money at him to keep him here. Cohen - One of the best defensive defencemen in the league. Throw money at him to keep him here.
Mosey - Fastest player we had until Doucet, but puts his all in. Good as a forward, good as a defenceman. Benedict - Stepped up as a player since being Captain. Keep him, put him on a line with Graham and Doucet (or equivalent), and keep him as captain next season.
All Brits. Even Clarke. Despite being frustrated by Clarke, I feel we're a worse team without him. Just don't make him captain. Assistant maybe. Farmer, Lee, Boxhill all excellent. Lacho has had a quiet season but still solid. Oakford needs more experience.
Maybe
Modig - Good, and a known quantity. If Kowalski is retiring, Modig would be a safe if unspectacular replacement.
Landry - Decent and unexciting defenceman.
Jacina - Solid, puts his all in, but I just wish he could score more points. Lawrence - Talented, but frustrating. Could be so much better if he applied himself. Doucet - Scores goals, does almost nothing else. Would fit in well in a team that feeds him pucks and keeps him safe. Graham - Not as good as we was with Ling, but still flashes of brilliance. I feel he's missing the right line-mate.
Probably Not
Berube - Ok defenceman. Unexciting but we could do better. Schmidt - Too prone to error. Too slow.
Higgins - Occasional flash of brilliance, but not enough. Parent - Does nothing to stand out.
