Nobody will stop them.
It might be close now but it won't be in the end, they will win it by about six points, because being in the easy conference gives them at least a ten point head start !

After we got zero points last weekend and their last minute goal then win against Hull it would be a complete shock if they don;t win it now.

Iginla seems the so called easy conference has taken some pretty important points off the so called strong conference recently.

Yup the 'Easy' conference has taken points off 'hard'(lol)boys all season ,like Edinburgh last night versus Cardiff. Likewise the Erhardt have also beaten each other up in the chase too.
At the game tonight to 1) cheer on Panthers to a win over our close rivals 2)take that 2nd position with Steeler's behind Clan 3)wait to hear if Devils have done us a favour away in Scotland after yesterdays disaster for them.

Need a win tonite Adams comments in the paper seem to suggest they are the only real threat to the Clan. Two wins this weekend and it is still up for the taking.

The Cardiff Devils can stop the Braehead Clan. Close the thread.

We can help the Clan too.....to stop Sheffield if we wanted to !
And the Steelers have got a VERY hard run in from now on compared to Braeheads.

The key in the title race is going to be the 8 days between Friday 27th Feb and Saturday 7th March. Braehead play Panthers home and away, Steelers away and host Fife. Pick up 4 points or more from that period and you'd fancy they will take some catching. If Panthers and Steelers can do a number on the Clan in that period with regulation victories that would mean they can get a maximum of 73 points even if they won all the rest. In that scenario Panthers would need 16 points from the remaining 20 and Steelers 14 from 20 to overtake the Clan all of which are possible. The games before that time will give us more of an idea but as things stand that 8 day period will be pivotal.

About time those thugs got punished.
Shows how bad our officials are as well as Fitzgerald had one cross check penalty and one roughing penalty in the game.

Amazing coincidence! Clan pick up major bans to 2 players in the week that Sheffield become the biggest threat to their league title aspirations *Off to find my tin hat now*

100% agree both bans were deserved, the length given though is certainly contestable. If DOPS were doing their job right from the start of the year I'd have no argument with the ban lengths given either, but with equally bad offences given far lighter sentences there is grounds for appeal on that basis.
Sadly the only consistency DOPS have brought the whole league is inconsistency.
