This won't be easy, the Stingrays don't play Saturday night. Hope I'm wrong but I have a nasty feeling about this weekend. ?

I hope you're wrong too, having said that how many times do we see it where the team that played the night before turns over the team that didn't? I know it's happened to us a couple of times.

What happened in Hull last Sunday ? According to their website,Bobby Mcewan has issued a club statement a couple of days ago apologising unreservedly to their sponsors for the "disorder" which occurred at the game. ?

There was no zamboni driver causing a long delay and then the lights failed. Apparently the rink have assured them they will fix these errors before our game

One complete and utter fudge up...which by the looks of the pics Scoobs was putting up on facebook, have started to be rectified.

Absolutely. Hopefully the return of Colby Cohen will give us that bit extra to get the job done. Sounds like Modig will be in for K-wall too. Any kind of win will do and Cardiff to rediscover some form and beat Sheffield would be good too.

Looks like Cardiff are doing their bit. 3-0 up against the Steelers!

Well, that sucks.
Awful weekend. Great night for Braehead without even playing.

Too few bodies, lack of scoring again, could be League challenge over.

A week-end best forgotten - but I am sure the usual suspects won't let us - onward to next week and those pesky Squeelers (again)

Too few bodies, lack of scoring again, could be League challenge over. More bodies than Hull though. Not terminal, but not helpful. Couple of meetings each with Sheffield and Braehead left, still in our hands. But we're running out of margin for error with results like this.

Terminal weekend. ? Braehead won't lose more than 3 or 4 more games,we still have to play Sheffield a couple of times,a double header in Belfast,Cardiff away,Braehead away, plus the big cup games. We can't afford more than two league losses from now......it will be a miracle if we do that !

I thought we were very poor tonight. Turned up for the first and then just cruised.
Face offs were shocking, and in the third I can only remember one that we won.
Not seen as many Panthers fans leave before the handshakes had finished for a long while.
No idea who got man of the match for us, but it probably was not deserved.

The only way I can sum up the 2nd and 3rd periods is as follows.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results - Einstein.

Our inability to dispatch the lesser teams is costing us the title. We have a great record against the top teams just can't get it done on a cold night in hull.

I couldn't fathom how we weren't 4/5 up after that 1st period. Really was baffling to be level.
The 2nd and 3rd were just average and Hull are a very energetic and gritty team. Hicks was questionable but not as bad as Darnell and smith the night before. We are still only 3 points behind Clan, and if we beat Sheffield on Saturday it puts us right back in the mix. This season will be so exciting come the last day of the season

Sorry but I refuse to blame the ref for last night.
The first period we battered them, and I mean seriously battered them. It was their goalie vs the Panthers. I don't know how we were only level.
Second and third period we seemed to drop the intensity and just dump the puck in, no passing to tape. Nothing. Ok Hull certainly got in our faces more in the neutral zone but there was just no clue how to step it up again.
I overheard someone say they looked knackered, that doesn't wash with me at all, I think I'm right in saying we had a longer bench and although Hull hadn't played on Saturday it's not exactly uncommon for hockey teams to play on consecutive nights. We should have had enough to win that game.
Other observations. Boxill to me was the only player to come out with any credit, Cohen was poor and what the jumpin Jesus was Oakford doing for their second goal? I like Oakford but he had about three chances to clear the zone and put it right on the tape of their player in the high slot.
