No Cody Wild for this one but Max Parent looks like he could make the line up. Mosey will probably go back on D with Parent taking his place among the forwards. Would imagine k-wall will start too.
Expecting Belfast to play a physical game with Keefe to the fore. If they're going to lose, i think they will (literally) go down fighting.
Going for a Panthers RT win though, and for once, no more injuries.

Parent confirmed to be back. Although Wild has been a massive influence on the defence, we should be ok. I'd like to see Mosey stay as a forward. Parent should add a bit of muscle and he works well with Doucet.
Looking forward to this one. Hopefully catch the Giants out again. Chubak really isn't that good of a net minder from what I saw in Belfast.

So looking forward to the games this weekend Same here - games against Belfast are always big but these two are huge. Looking at the games Clan, Devils and Steelers have this weekend, realistically i can't see them dropping many points so we need all 4 pts and i think we can do it! Lets go Panthers

Brief match report from Pizza Express:
Quite exciting if not high quality hockey. How Westgarth doesnt have his own chair in the box is beyond me. Chubak looks very shaky when its up close. Please please please learn how to clear the damn zone Panthers.
Onwards and upwards! I believe!

Get in! Braehead and Cardiff losing too makes this a huge result.
Gutsy performance. We were a long way off our best and Belfast looked better than I've seen them at the NIC this season, especially in the 2nd period. We still got the win though.
A classy chant from the Giants fans on the concourse post game. The Referee has questionable wrist based nocturnal activities apparently.
Lastly, Ken can you please, please, please get well soon. My ears are still bleeding from GM wailing down the mike all night.

Blimey it's a very low standard these days. Put that Panthers team against the Grand Slam team and I think it's probably double figures. A win's a win and you can only beat what's in front of you but it's just painful to watch this season.
Probably only 3 or 4 of this team would make the Grand Slam team. The fact we're in with a shout says more about the quality of the league than the quality of our team. Was that really considered an entertaining game??

Not the best performance, but a very important win. You have to give them credit, they may not be the most talented Panthers team, but they've got a ton of never say die qualities.
As for the Danish ref,oh dear he was bad.

Someone needs to explain to me why OT was 4v3 after earlier in the season it was 5v4.
And when did the penalty shot rule change?

Now I know without doubt that the stripies make the rules up as they go along - the number of slashes that were made right in front of them and none called - how can one of our players be punched in the mouth three times and the other player not be called - how come in a game a few weeks ago OT was 5 on 4 today it was 4 on 3 - when was the rule about changing the penalty shot sequence made? - worst reffing I have seen for a long time and it is getting worse - other than that, well played Panthers, more of the same tomorrow but please someone sabotage Morons mike, I will be bringing my ear muffs if not

Very happy to have bagged 2 points, especially as both Clan and Devils lost.. very close between the top 5. It started scrappy but we improved toward the end, the refereeing wasn't fantastic and I'm very impressed with Cohen! He's so calm on the puck and has a bullet of a shot on the powerplay, glad we re-signed him!

The shootout order is an IIHF thing, first time I've heard of it. Guess the Danish bloke knew that at least.
OK sort of game, two teams putting the effort in at least, but short on quality. Take the points and need both tomorrow afternoon.
Praying for a miracle recovery from Ken in the next 24 hours, Noddingham Gary is unbearable, and will he stop nicking Stef's bits, if there's ever been a guy in love with the sound of his own voice...

Actually enjoyed this one. especially the first and third periods. Then there was a penalty shot win to add to that. Two other contenders lost as well. Yes a good evening but as an outside chance of the league title it's those lack regulation wins that may undue us.

Funnily enough I'd have said if we win the title it's the good amount of ot and so losses that really helped Tip the odds.
