Awesome effort tonight Panthers Lawrence is now showing us what hes capable of i thought he and juice had their best games in panther jerseys. Ii just want us to be more physical in defence along the boards. Modig excellent. What a find he has been. We are a team full of confidence right now and it shows. Excellent performance by Lewis for Last post In all honesty I think people are cautious about physicality due to the bans. Once they see a trend in the way guys are treated it'll pick up a bit I think. We've definitely got it in is. The Steelers rarely responded to our hits either, they were very despondent after the penalty kill.

I make that 103 shots against us in 3 games and Modig has only let in 4? Not bad for a goalie who "just rebounds" shots away ?

Fantastic result. Brilliant first period. Woeful start to the second. Bumbling officiating. Superb penalty kill. Great third period.
Can't fault the result but steelers were very poor bar a short period in the second. Doyle kept the score below 10, felt sorry for him.
Modig, awesome. Sign him up now before one of our rivals do. As solid as kwall, young and no visa required, get it done.

Now that was satisfying.
Gerad Adams has always been an average coach but he's always been a good motivator, seems as though he couldn't even do that last night. I'm still waiting for Roy-Forney-Fretter to show up at the NIC. Also the less said about Cullen Eddy the better.
1st period was very reminiscent to the Belfast game, came out fast and hungry and jumped to a quick lead. 2nd period that opening failed powerplay killed all momentum, mainly due to Steve Lee and Lacho (who hasn't been great this season let's be honest, no doubt he will come good but right now... Meh) continually turning the puck over. Why Lee gets more powerplay time than Cody Wild is beyond me, I know Corey is trying to turn him into the new Jon Weaver and he does have a hell of a slapshot but he can't quarterback a powerplay like Wild can (could). 3rd period we out worked them and out hustled them, after Bruce scored his 2nd they seemingly gave up.
It was nice to see Bruce (who I thought gave O'Connor way to much time to line up his slapshot for the Steelers 2nd goal if I'm being nitpicky) get some puck luck (with his second goal coming off a Steelers d-man) and Lawrence continuing to prove his detractors wrong, that 6th goal bar down was immense.
Modig has settled so well quickly, no fuss, no nonsense, no panic. Not sure we could sign him up permanently though as I would imagine at his age he would have aspirations a little higher than the EIHL if he has a successful short spell here. Loved how he pulled Higgins away from Fretter to stop him doing something really stupid (not fast enough to stop him going all Kelsey Wilson on Fretters legs however, must admit I didn't see what caused that to transpire though).
Less said about Hicks the better, has obviously been taking advice off of Broadway Tom on how to get more spotlight during a game.
Onto the next one.

Now just got to make sure we beat Edinburgh tomorrow otherwise it all a bit pointless Hardly. With all due respect to the Caps, they are not rivals for the league title... Sheffield are. We not only got 2 points tonight, we denied a title contender 2 points as well. If by some mischance we lost to the Caps, we would not be gifting a title rival with any points. So, if we had to choose between the two games, tonight's was far more important. This is exactly right. The reverse is to be avoided AND taking Edingburh tonight is a double whammy. No slip ups , just be better than the other team by one goal will do me.

At 3-2 i expected them to try and win it but when it went in off Sarich they just stopped trying. Still dont see what Hewitt or Philips bring to the Steelers, Eddy was pants. Thought we played well, still a concern about one of our players but we looked good, stuck up for each other and im delighted to see Boxill flourishing

Great game, great night. I don't if it was Panthers idea to do the poppy or Block18's but it was a great touch. imgur.com/2E1V45i*Sorry if I got you in the picture*

Interesting that on the Locker Room this week Paul Adey made the observation that Lawrence has a great wrist shot and ought to use it more. There was much to enjoy last night but Lawrence's second goal was a ripper. Went in like a bullet and Doyle never moved. Fantastic.

Did the exact same against Coventry to get us level last week. Watch the highlights and Stewart hasn't got a clue

Well even I was very impressed with them last night, maybe we have got a team after all and I was possibly wrong if they can keep that sort of performance up.
Great win, tore Steelers apart almost at will and as for Lawrence, forget the one timer just stop the puck and then wrist it !
Sign Modig up for the season even as cover just in case,he is solid and as unruffled as I have ever seen a goalie, even more importantly don't let him go to Belfast now It appears Murphy got injured after 30 seconds of their game last night.

Not at all NYR,I say it as I see it.
I always want Panthers to win, whenever or whoever they play. That's why I get so racked off when I feel sometimes or I know for sure, that they aren't doing what's needed or all they could to win !

Looking forward to a good day out, I just hope it doesn't turn into the disaster we had a few years ago when we got on the wrong train. By the time we realised what had happened, the train we required from Nottingham had left and we jumped in a taxi from Nottingham to Derby. The taxi driver didn't know where the station was so dumped us in the centre of Derby, where we had to get another taxi. We just made the train in Derby, but it was full of drunk England supporters who had been to the England v Spain game......and the Steelers lost....Grrrr. Unbelievably history did repeat itself.....At least a Nottingham cabbie ended up £34 better off. Note to self....Leave the arena at 9:15 when your team is getting tonked, not 9:20. Regards Doom
