Has he finally gone? I've not heard anything in a while, maybe GM is just hoping he fades from memory without anyone remembering the whole debacle!

This signing just seems to be a complete farce. Was he injured before he signed, did he get injured when he first got here, who knows? One thing is for certain, it all seemed very amateurish by Panthers to sign someone who made no contribution whatsoever before he disappeared again.
What I'm failing to understand is with all the players that were available in the summer, why sign and then keep a player like this. Were Panthers doing an agent a favour or something?

Corey said that he looked good at the training camp, so it would seem that he got injured when he was here. I would imagine that if he turned up injured, then he would have been in breach of his contract.
If he did get injured as a Panther, do you really think us sacking him would have been a classy thing to do? A great message to send out to other players and agents, and something that would have seen a lot of us criticise another team for.
Still, its another stick to beat the club with when the full facts are not even known.

Lee played the first period in Amiens, against Amiens. Not dure how he got injured but he was quoted saying that his arm is in a state of Paralysis which i'm thinking was sustained from a back injury. If anyone can give him stick for receiving a spinal injury which led to him not being able to do much with one of his arms then you should probably go to the hospital too. If anything you should be saying it's good he stayed, he clearly wanted to be a part of the organisation and decided to stay for as long as he could but as he was told it wouldn't be likely he would play again this season he might as well go home. We wouldn't have had to pay his wages as long as we have Sports Insurance.
I'd like to see him back one day and i hope his recovery goes well.

Dont you dare bring common sense here pantherb.
I do find it sad and crass that some of our fans are trying to use player injuries to beat the club with, but hey whatever floats your boat.

I'd not heard he played in France, the Amiens game came after the first round of CHL games, where he didn't play, so what was the deal there?
In fairness to the guys at the top of the thread, this is the first I've heard about paralysis in his arm, I'm sure I'm not the only one this is news to. The club rather dangled his possible return at every opportunity, by the sounds of things it was always unlikely to happen.
I agree with Shorty that if injured for us we should look after him, and it sounds a bad one so I wish him luck with his recovery.

Actually it was the lack of information that I was taking issue with. I would never 'beat the club' using injuries as an excuse. Have a look at my post history and you'll see that. I have always taken a supportive stance when these situations have arisen. I've learned something new and like Yotes, I hadn't heard that before. It is game changing in how the situation is perceived.

This info was being asked of me on the 'Fixtures and Staistics' thread (seen in GREEN in Notes and Requests)....I wanted and STILL need the 3 game stats.Thought I had it right as S.Lee having played in all 3 games. So if someone went and has the details I would be very appreciative.

Although i went to Amiens myself i can't actually remember if he played for sure so i'm just going off what others who also went have said. Think even Moran mentioned it some time as well, just wish Panthers or someone would keep a scoresheet for everyone to look at for the games over the weekend!

My notes on the Amiens programme show Colby Cohen, Thomas Norton, Cody Wild, david Clarke, Chris Higgins and Mark Lee all missing. Martin Podlesak missed game 3 injured, Robert Farmer missed game 2 suspended. Betteridge and Hook were both present. I believe Mark Lee got injured in the Lubijana friendly. scorers in Amiens were Boxill, Steve Lee, Hook game 1 v. Amiens,Graham, Parent and Jacina game 2 v. Rouen, graham 2, Farmer, Lachowicz, Benedict game 3 v.Universite de Quebec-3-Rivieres.

I wish someone would put out the facts also. No Amiens game stats put in programme (as with Slovenia) and as much as you (me) try no one answers email when asking for details,,,,that's Amiens , contesting teams or OUR club. Pity, I research 1940/50's material but can't get 2014 stuff.Poor affair. In contrast the IIHF and others abroad (avid fans) have helped me tremendously with GB material.

The player profiles page on the OS still has this guy on there.
Raitums, Cohen, Podlesak - all played a part in the CHL campaign. None of them on there.
Modig - been here 2 weeks, played 4 games and made a positive contribution. Not on there.
Mark Lee - turn up, get paid for 2 months and don't play. Still on there.
Not worthy of the #44 slot.

Maybe he will come back to replace Robo? Got to be fit by now.

I think that says more about the maintenance of the website than the value, or lack of value, of Mark Lee.
As I recall, the ITK drip feed suggested his injury was pretty serious (sounded like a nerve issue to me), I'll be surprised if he's fit to return already.

Maybe he will come back to replace Robo? Got to be fit by now. You never know, this was the wording on the OS when he left and Robbo first extended his contract:- "Meanwhile Mark Lee who was also signed on a short-term contract with the Champions League in mind is flying back to North America this week. The club will continue to monitor his recovery and, as ever, no doors are being closed long term". Or maybe not:- I think that says more about the maintenance of the website than the value, or lack of value, of Mark Lee. As I recall, the ITK drip feed suggested his injury was pretty serious (sounded like a nerve issue to me), I'll be surprised if he's fit to return already. I tend to believe the latter is the most likely. Would rather have another #44 back but that doesn't seem very likely either
