Kowalski will most likely sit out for this game, should be back healthy by the weekend! That being said, Green will be starting in net while Corey is currently working on bringing in an Emergency Backup.
Caps are short benched so it should be an interesting game, and one which you can't say who will win or lose given how well they performed against Blaze last night.
Grimaldi is 'injured' apparently so no word on whether he will play or not, be brilliant if he does as we all know Farmer and even Corey do not like him at all.

Just looking at their game sheet from Coventry (lol @ the penalty shots), how on earth are they already that short of players? 11 skaters?

I guess that means Gospel isn't on a 2-way this season.

As a blaze fan,Underestimate the capitals at your peril, hadlovsky played a blinder at the skydome on Sunday, regardless of them only having 11 skaters they ,ore than matched what is frankly a poor below average blaze team, with the exception of Stewart, cescon, tanaka, griffin the blaze are currently stinking out the rink

I saw that Vazarenka.
He faced 57 shots and then saved 8 penalties and some clown at the Skydome still gave the MOM to some bloke who got one assist !

So, sounds like we will have just 9 imports playing tonight with only 4 of them forwards.

We're definitely missing Benedict, Parent and Higgins, and probably Kowalski too (says fitness test but I doubt they'll risk him). Think Caps have 1 back from suspension for the game with us (Portwood) but no word on their injuries. Would've been interesting to see Grimaldi back at the NIC

Well all the injuries certainly make this look a more interesting game than otherwise might have been.
Key will be keeping Jarolin quiet. Historically I seem to remember Caps effectively sacrificing him from a defensive viewpoint and leaving him on half way or beyond when we are in the offensive zone. Our D need to be switched on if this turns out to be the case as he won't need to many invitations to fill his boots with 1 on 1's with Greener.
Obviously not an ideal situation we have ended up in and likely to be a smallish crowd so important those that attend get behind the Green and the guys who are fit to ice.
Probably won't be the prettiest but Panthers to win by 2. Hopefully some good news on the injury front by the weekend.

The only reason to go to this game is to see Emerson and Grimaldi. Sad times, I'm keeping my money in my pocket.

I agree with quite a lot of stuff that you say but that one does seem a strange viewpoint for a Panthers fan to have. The Panthers are my team, they are playing at home so im going. It would take something much more important than sport to stop me from attending. Whichever players pull on the Black and Gold will be getting my support and I will be there cheering them on hoping for 2 points.

Yep, struggling to raise a team now:- Green Gospel Landry Berube Lee Schmidt Oakford Wild Robinson Lawrence Clarke Lachowicz Graham Mosey Farmer Jacina Boxill That's it then unless Betteridge/Hook/Cownie play. The only reason to go to this game is to see Emerson and Grimaldi. Sad times, I'm keeping my money in my pocket. We talk about our injuries but I think caps would give their right arm to roll with 3 forward and 3 defensive lines. Should be a decent game though. Panthers to scrape it by a goal.

Looks like we are dealing with it. As we should. Better equipped at home and knowing we'd have to win or there'd be a revolt. Plenty of catch up to do against Erdhart sides still. So Gardner wins are vital
And 5-2 is good enough result for me.

Not a bad game, and a good enough scoreline. Boxill made it interesting of course, and he is really putting himself about a bit this season. Shame though we did not have a squad of 20 top end imports and annhilate them by a dozen or so goals, and not have to bother bringing in these EPL kids

Just got in from the match.
A very entertaining game with lots of good play and quite a bit of off the puck stuff.
Too many good performances to mention but very pleased to get the 2 points.
The standard of officiating was absolutely horrific....

Why did Coventry not beat that Caps side in regulation? Plus they didn't have Portwood vs them? I'd be worried. It'll be interesting what happens when Caps are full strength but I enjoyed that game. I've been to a lot worse games than that!

Another entertaining game - Cownie and Betteridge both had good games and plenty of ice time, as mentioned previously together with Hook, three to look forward to in the future - do not think any player had a bad night - Saturday will be the real test

The standard of officiating was absolutely horrific.... No one gets in the way quite like Mike. Pretty straightforward I thought, dealt with them pretty easily. Like Tom says, when they're full strength they might have something, but not got enough at the moment. Presumably against Coventry they gave a better effort, some very lazy plays tonight especially defensively (Bohunicky was particularly lackadaisical). Or Coventry just aren't up to much either. Anyway, 2 points, big game on Saturday.

And he called MOM correctly too.
Anybody else who would've given it to Dan Green?
Mosey for me.
