'Aalborg Pirates have signed a contract with the Canadian forward Matt Francis for the upcoming season. Matt Francis has the past three seasons playing in the Nottingham Panthers in the British EIHL league. The 28-year-old forward has also experience from the U.S. leagues ECHL, NCAA and BChl. - He is strong at the face-off, quick and skilled at both ends of the ice. He is a player that will contribute offensively, and while he is a type that can help defend, says coach the team in the Pirates, Paul Thompson and Ronny Larsen. - Matt is a born leader with the right winning attitude and he is the type of player that does not take a night off. He has been one of the reasons why Nottingham Panthers have had great success the last three years. During the last season did Matt Francis 63 points in 59 games for the Nottingham Panthers, and the year before, it was for 59 points in 57 matches'.
