Took this from The Inferno; On behalf of CDRA, following our previous communications regarding the issues of unpaid wages for players of 13/14 season, please find a link below to Dan's statement which he has asked us to publish on his behalf. www.dropbox.com/s/2gdqts05dc43vuz/Written%20Statement.pdfOr visit www.cardiffdevilsredarmy.co.ukWow, just wow! A little insight into players contracts there too for all those of us who wonder about them

Him and that bobby guy from hull look like total losers, not surprised we cant sign the mega stars people want if our league has these guys in. Hopefully this review will point out the same thing and we get some better owners.

It's very unfortunate for Cardiff, but there's not going to be a lot of people in the queue to own a minor sports business that probably struggles to survive year to year. If teams get new owners, I'd suspect they're pretty likely to be more of the same, rather than another Neil Black.

Says it all when Cardiff only have 1 definite signing, and he's a brit. I would be surprised if they start the season this year.

He's on a multi year deal, so may not return.

A farce that a club is allowed to be run like this. The owners being the decision makers shows what a mickey mouse league this is. This is obviously very damaging for Cardiff but also for the league as a whole.
Feel very sorry for their fans, I imagine only a fan strike would have any effect. Hit them where it hurts.
Fair play to Lacosta for speaking up. Very sad that it came to this.

What normally happens when imports get season ending injuries? Do they kept over here; housed/paid/given a car etc? What's the precedent? It's obviously not ideal for Ragan to have to paying for this guy's MBA as well as the replacement import goalie. Why didn't Ragan serve him notice and send him home?

...It's obviously not ideal for Ragan to have to paying for this guy's MBA as well as the replacement import goalie.... I always thought universities provided courses for free as part of their sponsorship deals? That just great. Get injured doing your job and your employer pulls up the ladder and lets you sink. Perhaps the question should be asked why Ragan didn't take out player insurance?

The more I hear and read about Ragan, the more shocked I am. Its difficult to believe he was considered as a 'god' up the road at our mnearest and dearest not so many moons ago..

Teams don't pay for the uni deals,or at least Panthers don't. If they did the uni wouldn't be a sponsor, they would be a supplier.
To get a player like La Costa,Cardiff probably had to give him a season long contract instead of a standard two week notice contract, that's one reason they couldn't cut him.
It was the same with Bob Wren,he knew he was done for the season but he told Panthers he would go of his own choice, that is why GM referred to him as a being gentleman when he left.
It seems proven there is money owed to players in Cardiff,in my opinion if that is the case then Cardiff should not be allowed to enter the league next season unless that money is paid.

Sheffield (me anyway) didn't think he was God - only time I Left a game was when Cardiff won massively and I thought it must be a fix, him owning them too!

@devils_redarmy: Further statement from a former @cardiffdevils player to be issued at 5pm today. Conboy tweeted yesterday how he was still owed money but he's given up. Could be his full story. Either way, this is better than any tabloid!

Yeah, schadenfreude's great fun, until they go pop of course. If Cardiff can't make it work, what's going on elsewhere?

Faulkner, although still owed money, doesn't sound particularly negative about the future of the Devils.
