I really hope we don't have as many. I'd like to see three in the regular season. Personally: one black, one yellow and a unique jersey with meaning. One that can be auctioned and promote a charity maybe. Most teams seem have a one game only kinda jersey to supplement their regular jerseys. Steelers Christmas jerseys for example!
As nottingham does have a fair few veterans and serving members of the armed forces a military charity themed jersey would be really cool. The NHL do this kinda thing regularly. They have special training jerseys, that is cool but a game jersey would be better.
Just a thought to pass a moment or two this off season.

I think gold at home looks cooler. Black is a bit pedestrian.

Perhaps they should just have one shirt that is reversible. That way we would sell less, and have a lower playing budget.

EIHL rules (at least for last season and maybe the one before) All teams need at least 2 jerseys, 1 Dark (home) 1 White (away).

I know its about the money but for me 2 jerseys is traditional and doesn't rip off the fans, also traditional for panthers is a white home jersey and a black away one. The so called gold jersey was a one off that I believe blasér pushed as he said the players found it allegedly difficult to see each other in white.. yeah right...

I don't see how giving the customer more choice is ripping them off. Are Asda ripping customers off with 2 different brands of Corn Flakes. Or is the suggestion that people can't make a decision and in turn must buy all of them? IMO more choice can only be a good thing, just my opinion of course.

I am a traditionalist also and would hope that we'd keep to two colours.Or if need be two and a Cup jersey. But if making cash is the order of the day, do it as stated here by one off game specials that can be seen as a fund raiser and not just slipping in extra's so it will be debated as 'money grabbing'.Look what happened this year to the White one....going awol.Talk about make your mind up. As programmes get limited (not making money?)and trading cards get forgotten (not making money?)lets do as Elite say, a darker at home and lighter for away I think was the idea. Then you are keeping to the teams colours and any extra is by way of something of note.

Don't care how many they have or how many auctions, nobody is forced to buy replicas or game worn shirts. Just hope that those we do have are our proper team colours. The maroon and cream one this season was a great hockey shirt - the nicest I have seen for a number of years - but I would not have dreamt of buying one as they are not Panthers colours.

But the multiple jerseys are done for money. More chances for auctions. More jerseys for collectors to buy. I personally think 4 is too much as if you buy one, you hardly get to see your team play in it!

A black and a gold is enough, that way the arena actually looks like a Panthers home game......decked out in predominantly black and gold.
At the moment it looks like a multi coloured swop shop or the League of Nations !

Not really. It's got responses that contain the opinions of the posters. It's off season for the EIHL hence a slow news week. I do concede though you do know a lot about pointless threads. "Is it time for Corey to go?" and "thank you for the team and players" certainly rank among the top pointless threads. Both threads that veered away from your views and proved that most fans had the exact opposite view. Maybe it was a deliberate 'uniting against a common cause' tactic?? If so bravo. threads. Threads that veered away from your views and proved that most fans had the exact opposite view. Maybe it was a deliberate 'uniting against a common cause' tactic?? If so bravo. People have opinions. It's a forum and you may not like every thread but that doesn't matter. I'm interested in jerseys as I feel we've gone over the top having five, seven if you include the playoffs. As for revenue a Game-worn will go for more if there are less issued. I've got two from this season at a reasonable price as I think there were plenty to go around those who wanted them. What I didn't make clear is the main point I'm interested in. Do people think we should have a special one off charity jersey?

Weren't the green shirts from the season before auctioned for charity? Or did the money go to panthers?

A black and a gold is enough, that way the arena actually looks like a Panthers home game......decked out in predominantly black and gold. At the moment it looks like a multi coloured swop shop or the League of Nations ! Fully agree. This is a bouy this forum has sailed around many times so I'll just post my last comment on an eerily similar thread. "(I think constantly changing team 'colors')..makes Panthers look crassly commercislistic, driven by profit over any semblance of wishing to preserve a team image. Take a glance at our conference rivals, what colors spring out? Coventry = blue, Belfast = teal, Sheffield = orange, Cardiff = red. What is the 'Panthers color' these day? If Panthers fans were so inclined to create a 'wall of color' in a similar manner to Sheffield's orange out etc what would they choose? Commonsense would seem to dictate black as being the most suitable color to associate with Panthers, but just a cursory glance around the stands shows a smorgasbord of disparate hues. And yes, whilst it is laudable that Panthers auction off the players jerseys a cynic (who me?) would feel fairly confident decrying it as not the solely altruistic action it initially appears to be. For various reasons fans want to buy the jerseys the players wear, if not the actual jersey then a replica, the players jerseys can therefore be considered a win/win loss leader. Its a win because by eventually auctioning them off the team gets great PR for its charitable actions but it is another win because desire drives demand drives profit. The slight loss in the initial outlay for more sets of jerseys than the team really needs but this is more than recouped by the profits made. In the grand scheme of things people may feel its all noise for nowt, profit not being a dirty word, they only being jerseys that no one is forcing anyone to buy and that I appear to be a very cynical 'glass half empty' kinda guy. I would reply by saying that I feel Panthers management are want to prostitute one of the tenants of the organisation's identity in order to fill the coffers, in a manner that would make an NHL GM blush. Many Panthers fans like to mock the fanaticism Dave Simms puts into hawking 50/50 tickets to punters, suggesting that such aggressive 'hard sell' in the pursuit of profit would be unpalatable to or beneath us who attend the NIC. I'd counter that at least it is a revenue stream that doesn't toy with the 'brand identity' of his team. Just my two cents worth, feel free to disagree."

Hopefully with their inability to supply this year's 4 jerseys they'll revert to 3 at most.

This is why I had to get a fan (who had bought a GOLD player worn) to allow me to have a picture for my records.Usually get a fan in an replica but there were none about. Awaiting a Panthers fan , who has bought one of the two PO jerseys from the PO organisers so I can do the same here. let me know folks if you have a GOLD or WHITE from the very short quarter finals that we played.TA.

Just get it out on time would be a start Panthers and when there is a 'launch' actually launch the product, not take fans money and make them wait months on end for the shirts. Was a total shambles.

Whilst the delays experienced last season could likely be laid fairly equally between the Panthers for dragging their feet ordering and CH for a seeming lack of control over their manufacturers, perhaps its time for the Panthers to look around for a jersey supplier other than CH. This isn't the first season where Panthers have reported 'supply issues' as being the cause of delays.
