He'd be a great replacement for Henley.

As a pure enforcer style player, yup.

Seriously? Decent enough player when on the ice. Banned too much, and likely to be a marked man, ref wise, next year. Remind you of anyone? You can argue whether that's right or wrong for 4 pages if you like, but Henley and Nickerson are essentially 2 peas in a pod. (If he could curb the red mist, he'd be well worth a look, though.)
Fair play to him for this, though. Top effort. Wouldn't like to meet him as a member of the opposition, but seems a good guy off the ice. Shame the video was shot on a box brownie.

I think he is more controllable than Henley. He will get bans. Nature of the beast really.

Would rather our tough guy/nutcase was a forward, hurts us less when Moray bans them.
Good on him for raising a fine amount for charity. What is the charity btw, CHAS, I don't know it?

It's hospice based in fife he and some players visited at the start of the season. Judging by the interview after it had gone, I think he might consider staying in the EIHL. I'd love him to,he's a great character to have!

Great charity work but I think we could all/majority agree we need to move away from this type of player. Lepine prime example, could play and fight and didn't miss half the season.
Id have henley over Nickerson. Just. But would rather have a mobile d man and sign kelsey wilson/salters type player for the rest.

"This type of player" virtually shut out the EIHL champions...
Nickerson's more than a goon.

"This type of player" virtually shut out the EIHL champions... Nickerson's more than a goon. He definitely looked like more than just a goon in that semi final. I thought he had a good game. Seemed to learn how the game (and officials) operate in this country and adapted his game accordingly. Became more effective as the season went on and was no doubt a key figure in the Flyers end of season run. Would love to see him in the EIHL again next season.

Hard to argue with that (I too thought that Nickerson was immense in the PO semi)... he learned, unlike our own Brett Henley, and became much more effective for it.

Lepine prime example, could play and fight and didn't miss half the season. Apart from them 8 (I believe) games suspension that he received for 2 checking to the head penalties in his first year. How many games did Henley miss this season through suspension? I can't remember off the top of my head but I feel like it is something similar. All the time whilst people are saying that Hanson has been very strict on the whole suspension front. I don't like Henley, I certainly wouldn't want him back next season, but a lot of players of their size and style will always fall foul of the law, and especially more so in their first season in a completely new league.

As for Nickerson....
I wouldn't partcularly want him in a Panthers jersey, I don't personally think he could perform like he did in the Playoff Semi Final on a consistant basis. However that performance was almost 100% perfect. He did an absolutely stunning job defending his team against the best there was last year.
And for his charity efforts he did reach 100%. Top job by a great bloke by all accounts.

Nickerson, like keefe would double their penalty minutes just by putting on a panthers shirt.
Pointless, sign euros
