How do you fill the hockey void?
Me: NHL finale followed by a daily twitter check for news on a few teams followed by living a non hockey life like normal people!!

Well the end of ice hockey for a long 4 month's. I think it has done the league good this year to have the trophies spread around this season. Well for me its keeping an eye on the whose is going where and looking forward to the outdoor bowls season.

NHL, World Championships and plenty tennis to see me through the summer. I always love the next few weeks where the rumour mill starts.

Ready for a decent break, to be honest. What he said... (after toddling off to Vilnius with GB in a couple of weeks, of course! ) May to August... four months to relax and give hockey a break... by mid-August, I should be ready to get some hockey again. Until then... it's nice to put it aside for a while.

The season is only over in this little backwater, plenty of decent hockey still being played in the NHL. After that finishes though I'll have playing beer league and inline hockey to sustain me to the new season.
Hockey never stops.....

Ice hockey over the weekend with cricket at Trent Bridge - also Mon (maybe rain) Tues Wed, play golf Thurs, Frid Sat and of course The Masters on the box Thursday to Sunday, with a 10 day trip to Belgium coming up. ER also have a trip to France and of course more cricket to watch, including tests at TBridge and more golf ---- should be able to cope until September.

Been a weird season, but the 5 trophies were shared between 4 teams, with all games at the PO Finals decided by the odd goal. The league (Belfast and Edinburgh excepted) was close (14 points covering 2nd to 9th) and we saw some cracking games. Some great players came to the country - and some not so great...! It was a tad wearing turning up and not knowing how we were going to play, as that varied so much, but I love the sport and I'll be back next year. Meanwhile, I have Messrs Crutchlow, Dunlop, McGuiness, Haslam, Rea and Byrne to keep me going. And a bit of cricket.

Cricket, football world cup, remainder of the NHL plus touring cars will keep me entertained sports wise!

Summer hibernation. Find a hole fill it with food and water and stay in there until I'm woken up by Dave Simms in the White House shouting down I microphone. Then I will get my season ticket and make my way to the NIC and find out who we've signed and enjoy winter

Personally I enjoy the break. It's a chance to see more of non-hockey friends, spend a few weekend evenings with my wife, go on holidays and just do different stuff. People make out the off-season is some kind of life sentence that is a real slog to get through, but it's only four months and the new season soon comes around. Sports wise I'm looking forward immensely to the cricket, and the World Cup this year (although that might be nearly as depressing as this Panthers season).
And of course attending Jono and Helen's wedding!

No mate, I saved the best 'til last. That's what I told the missus anyway. Expense order at all? Definitely, I wanted to save 12k and go on 'Don't Tell The Bride' but the missus was having none of it. Something about not wanting a Panthers themed wedding? As if......
