Think everyone would love it to be true. But anyone remember Jamie Rivers tweeting last summer and making us and Belfast think he was coming but Foxy ended up going with him? Until it's on www.panthers.co.uk then I'm not getting my hopes up. Doesn't stop me praying though!

All the tweet shows is how gullible some people are. Why does it? I don't see anyone saying anything other than they will believe it when they see it.

On a side note I was looking at Bruce's points since returning to Allen Americans, in 9 games he already has 17 points and Foxy has 29 points in 39 games.

Whether its true or not, his choice of language is interesting. He doesnt say GOING back to Nottingham, he says COMING back, as if he still considers Nottingham his home,im sure a psychologist could tell you all about the reasons for writing in that style but i just thought it strange,i dont do Twitter but of the stuff ive seen, ive never seen a player carry on talking about a club hes left for so long

I certainly wouldn't class myself as gullible, but I see no harm in hoping they both return. He obviously enjoyed his time here. So who knows

Maybe they're just paying a visit for POFW? That is the most likely scenario St Charles chill and the americans last games are March 29th so would be free if neither of them are making the play offs over there. The reason they have met up is that Allen Americans play st Charles today and tomorrow in back to back games.

Having just checked Allen are into the playoffs so Bruce probably wouldn't be free for our playoff weekend. I think its just Foxy playing our emotions the heartless bar steward

I'd take fox and graham back but not as coach. I want a coach with at least 10 years experience. Sick of playing at it with rookies and player coaches, let's get serious with tactics.

I thought you was taking over as our new coach? If you insist and my assistant would be a coach with 10 years experience. If we got below a .500 season I would resign and give back my wages.

How long have you been a panthers fan? Because if it's any longer than 3/4 years then I have to wonder what's made you continue to support them since they don't meet your unrealistic expectations

Because if it's any longer than 3/4 years then I have to wonder what's made you continue to support them since they don't meet your unrealistic expectations I take it from that Tom you are a relatively recent fan then? Since moving to the arena crowds have pretty much increased year on year making the panthers one of the best supported clubs in Europe let alone England and along with an abundance (if in/between period are to be believed) of announcements stating this sponsorship or that support then it would be reasonable to propose that they are one of the most profitable too... Yes we have taken the lesser prizes but have failed repeatedly in a league challenge and this with sheffield being in turmoil of late after losing winning coach's and coventry in freefall since teams are more balanced with the better brits so of late it has been between Panthers and belfast. My point?.. Well, given that so much money is made and that generally speaking the best team "mostly" equals the most expensive team and also that the number of league winners has only ever been 3 other teams then in reality the panthers really should have won it more than once hinting to me either that the team havent been coached that well (look at sheffield this season) or that the club have skimped on the best players so were not good enough to win the league title... Is there any other possibility, it isnt like the club are decimated with injuries EVERY year? Yes i like CN as coach however he has spectacularly failed this season, i reserve judgement as to how it will end but all signs are not encouraging, i guess a consolatory prize of the challenge cup and/or playoffs would be an achievement but really this should not be the focus of the club. As a long term fan i for one feel i have paid my dues of watching higher spending other clubs beating panthers and it would be nice if we could sustain the success last season for more than just one year. I do not think i am being unreasonable in that. When it was the ISL even the likes of bracknell which had a few hundred fans (as did Ayr) managed to win the league when panthers fans were told we are playing with the big boys be thankful. We were, now we are one of the big boys i do not think it unreasonable that we spend the amount of money that a club of the panthers means could spend, this year i do not believe that money has been spent. If you are as i suspect a new fan then apart from a sustained league challenge then you (as have i) have seen quite alot of success which imho has papered over the cracks of what has generally been pretty poor seasons (although it was still great to win the cups) given the resources that should have been available to CN i would have expected to have got alot more league title wins that just one wouldnt you?

Well I've been coming since the first game in the new arena. I understand your points and take them on board. I was at the CC final in 04 and was full of joy because I'd only ever really known us losing to Sheffield. Then I've seen our shortcomings in the league and yes they've been frustrating. And yes I was on cloud 9 last year when we won the league. I maybe see success differently to others and that's natural. In my eyes, 7/9 last trophies and possibly 9/12 after this season to me is success, and whilst yes league titles would be fantastic, I just think it's unrealistic to win all competitions all of the time. But that's just my view

But that's just my view Where as I can see your point, my opinion is that it is hard to put so much stock into those figures when a decent percentage of those trophies have been the Challenge Cup which you just get the feeling that most clubs really don't take that seriously until the semi-finals and then it's still a bit meh! The only reason it seems so important this year is because it probably does represent our best chance of silverware. Given the things pointed out in Texpef's post about Sheffield and Coventry and given how stable we are, I am struggling to see an valid excuse for our lack of league championships in the last 10 years but even worse than that, our all round performance in the competition. If we can't establish a league winning dynasty (2 from 3 or 3 from 5) in these circumstances, whats going to happen when Sheffield and Coventry re-establish themselves?
