Following the sad news of the cessation of 'Powerplay' magazine I wondered what fans would like to fill the void? It seems to have been a rapid deterioration of circumstances as Premier Sports are still running adverts.

The problem with Powerplay was when you got it it was already old news (I subscribed for a year). It's a similar problem for all print media in fairness.

I agree Yotes. I follow so much news via Twitter as it us up to the second. That's why I think a website backed by twitter for 'breaking stories' is a good format.

Was not much in it anyway. However, the longest serving magazine (issues) ever.
is it going to the end of the season or just stopped?

The internet is the replacement sadly. To survive these days you need to focus on discussion rather than news.

Just to clarify as per powerplays announcement on Facebook it is due to the publisher they will not be able to print. There are talks for someone to take over the magazine.
I just hope whatever the outcome the guy in charge (is it Steve Clark) stays involved as that guy has a lot of passion for the game.

It didn't carry on till the end of the season so an abrupt end it was.
