For me it has to be Matt Ryan, hes far too greedy for my liking, simular to his namesake , Billy Ryan a few years back but now and then scored worldies lol
Wren has been crying out for a proper goal scorer on his line and i think Jenson is that man, they could be a great partnership

Jenson looks a good player, good pick ups by the Panthers.
Hopefully it focuses minds, don't really care who doesn't play - whoever is out of form, had a bad game, at the time - I think a little more concentration, eradicating some sloppiness, would do wonders for this group.

It will almost be like signing 2 new players if we can get Wren's playmaking abilities up to the high standard he's no doubt capable of. For him to do that, he needs a settled partnership with either Clarke or Jensen IMO

Short term I don't see any forward missing out. We don't know when Henley will be back & I can see Clarke missing this weekend at least. If Jensen arrives by friday then all the import forwards will play. Jenson will take Clarkes place within the top 9 forwards. When Henley comes back it would be Loyns to miss out for me. For now i'd drop Loyns to play with Capraro & Benny, Jenson playing with Wren & Ryan .

For me Capraro has been the most disappointing, although I do think Ryan hasn't delivered what he should.
First player I'd drop is Capraro followed by Ryan.
A Loyns/Wren/Jenson line could be rather awesome Francis/Lacho/Salters and Clarke/Benny/Ryan look well balanced as the other 2 lines to me.

Its going to take a while for him to get up to speed, just been listening to Corey's interview and he hasn't played for a while but has been keeping himself fit. Chuck him in on Sunday when he's watched Friday to see what he's let himself in for. Should be well up to speed come the Conti cup.

Be careful what you wish for. Everybody had the knives out early doors last season and look how that turned out.

I guess everyone's forgetting our current 11th import is Saari..? Seems the obvious one to get dropped at the moment.

Saari's only the 11th import due to Henley's injury. Henley should be fit for Friday so Saari would effectively be out of the equation.

At this stage (and I agree that we have to let things pan out, as we saw last season) if a decision was to be made now, I would gas Wren and/ or Capraro. Wren has been a massive let down so far IMO, lazy and scared to but his body in. Yes the odd nice pass, but there needs to be a big improvement. Ryan and Loyns have shown real quality and workrate at times, for me, they would be safe.
And as for Capraro being a slight upgrade on Gally...not a chance. Give me Gally any day of the week
As for Jensen, can only see a positive impact with his arrival

Maybe Kwall isn't injured and we want to give Conway some game time to get him acclimatised to our game and to save the backlash that they will get if we lose with Conway in goal they have said kwall is injured so they have no alternative.

That we all see things differently and have our own opinions. I never really thought that much of Galivan (although he did score the odd importantish goal ). I thought he was a decent steady pro but nothing special. For me Capraro looks like a better finisher and has a bit more creativity about him. I think if he was on a line with Francis and Lacho like Galivan was he would do really well. I feel that Capraro is performing a lot closer to his maximum level than Ryan or Wren. If all 3 were playing to 100% of their ability I would think that Capraro would be the least effective of the 3. To try and put some numbers to it I would say that Capraro is playing to 75-80% of his ability. I would say that Ryan and Wren are only around 60%. Looking forward to seeing Jensen in action and I hope that the increased competition for places will see everyone up their game a bit.

He has a damaged ankle from when Harvey ran him and has been having treatment all week on it.

Didn't look like Harvey slashed him in the ankle on the video. must have been one hell of a slash to hurt his ankle through all his pads, im surprised Harvey hasn't been banned for it

Some team(s) would have been running to EIHL Towers with a video demanding a lengthy ban Andrew1972, no, not Sheffield

"The video clearly shows there's very little contact followed by some poor acting by K-wall."

Popped into the arena today to sort tickets. Had a glance at Panthers training on the 2nd rink. Didn't look like Henley was on the ice, although i didn't stand and watch for long so could have missed him. I would guess he will still be out this weekend.

Was hoping Henley would be back. You wouldn't have seen Jensen either but that's because he is so fast he can only be seen on the slow mo camera.
