Simms had a little tantrum on twitter over it. Brilliant video from the Giants IMO! Much needed humour

Simms had a little tantrum on twitter over it. Brilliant video from the Giants IMO! Much needed humour Reason, as if one were needed, to ramp this up to eleven for next time. DS the BS, likes to insult people then excuse it as banter but has a mar mar when some genuine banter comes the other way. Doug must be getting quite embarrassed at this self-appointed lap dog yapping at folk if they dare say something about him. Doug is certainly big enough to fight his own battles without some over-opinionated estate agent jumping in with both feet.

Simms has had a tantrum over that? Is he for real? What a <insert here> that guy is.

Wonderful :-)
Anything that annoys DS the BS is fine by me.
Add to this that they are probably going to get hammered on Saturday could make it a rather fun weekend.
Love the horns and glasses :-)

Obviously the video shows that they 'loved' the coach and didn't like to see him leave. That message came across easily. If it were hateful (Sheffield's lovely term) I'd understand the concern.
Just another game hype.Nothing more.

Well played by Giants' media peeps.

Have they really called that hateful? NO.I am just saying that IF anyone sees it as 'hateful' to Sheffield then they'd be wrong. Realising Steelers 'hate' of the Panthers rather than a 'rivalry' in all their banter, I wonder if they might not accept it as just hype this time round, because it concerns them.

We really lag behind in the video stakes. Sheffield's game highlights in particular are very, very well done, putting our one camera on the gantry efforts to shame. Considering Nottingham Trent's reputation for media graduates, surely there is an opportunity for students there to assist the Panthers and both parties to get something beneficial from any arrangement?

That would be very good, but somewhat unlikely, I fear. After all... we have two universities in Nottingham, and what uni are the Panthers affiliated with? - Derby. I don't know the reasons behind there being no links with the local universities, and something tells me that I don't want to know. But either way... it does seem unlikely that Trent & the Panthers would link up. Unfortunately.

The problem is that one guy likes to control every single aspect of Panthers off-ice affairs and that single person is well and truely stuck in his ink and paper media roots. Also if better highlight footage or streaming was provided it would undoubtablely hit sales of game DVDs. This said, how many people actually buy the DVDs?

A friend of mine who was doing a media related degree at Trent approached Gary about doing a video for Panthers but he never got a response.
On a side note for his degree he also asked if he could do a video for his studies following Panthers during a game and again...silence, he then went to Sheffield who were really welcoming and gave him behind the scenes access and he put together a really good video.

They always seem reluctant to get any help from anyone. Indeed but sometimes do take up offers that they want. Eg) those mini shirts on pages of our program are the work of one of our fans.....no credit seen to him though.

22years ago, a friend of mine got interested in hockey, approached Panthers about sponsorship and didnt hear back. Approached Steelers, and they jumped at the opportunity. Every year since, he has put in sponsorship money, and I believe been a season ticket holder for most if not all of that time. Quite a sum of money passed up by Panthers when you add it all up. On topic, I like the promo vid, made me smile ... hoping the giants mascot is going to rugby tackle big doug on the ice tonight
