Pity Cardiff gave a point up but still a good result for them!
Great to see Hull getting turned over, the "goon team" beating the "defensive euros". Sorry Hull fans but...well actually im not! lol

I like watching Hull play tbh. Good hockey. Not quite the stuff of Champions but their work rate is phenominal. It's 3 years since I noticed what Coach Strachan brings to the Stingrays.
They may not be so aggressive (and I love a good fight) but they can string 3-4 passes together and create good openings. Pretty certain that if you mixed Clarke or Tessier in with their top lines it'd rain goals up in Humberside.
Their style does not suit everyone, in the same way that not everyone drinks the same beer as me, not everyone likes the same sports as me and not everyone likes to watch the same hockey as me.

Like I wrote, it depends what you're into. As a player, nailbiting affairs where every pass counts, and the build up play is what matters then it's exciting.

The hockey as a team was good (not the most exciting), as a group they look very solid, there’s not an abundance of individuals trying to do it all themselves and due to the level of ability within Hull their best method is to play a disciplined, organised game. It may not have been entertaining but they’ve got 4 points out of 4 against us at the NIC. That can’t be argued with! It would be great to watch nail biting hockey all the time but the aim is to win, if we do it style then that’s a bonus.

To be fair to Hull, they tend to play a different style of game on the road than they do at home... they certainly didn't play that stifling lock-down game when we played them up at Hull - and they won that one fair and square playing an attacking game.

I love to see skilled smooth hockey, but they dont play offsensive skilled hockey they play very much on the break and stifle the opposition. Belfast play skilled hockey, id almost say we do when we hit teams on the break but Hull just play solid disciplined hockey, like Edinboro. The most skilled and impressive team tho iv seen this season? Id say cardiff. That was a great game, they didnt win it tho which says alot but they are still very much in form. Hull did the simple things well which was impressive but in terms of entertainment id really rather be watching any team in the league right now apart from Edinboro and Hull which is what was expected when the season started. I agree shaggy the game in hull wasnt too bad but they were chasing the game a lot which is going to make a difference
