I know this was a CC game, but great to get a solid win under the belt. Considering our rivals struggled, a very positive result. with 2 imports down, we SHOULD get better.

My highlight of the game had to be fox's fantastic mid ice hit on (I think it was) Hand, put him on his backside where he just sat for a few seconds with an expression of 'did that just happen' while fox just continued chancing the puck.
All in all it was quite a gritty performance against an improved stingrays team, with us out doing them in phisicality (surprisingly). Fox deserved his man of the match but I think franny, levers and becket played just as well.
Only negatives I noticed was the lack of wins in the f/o circle and in the third period they realised that if they could stick a big body in front of k-swall we couldnt easily shift him, leading to some frustrated slashes from k-wall that luckily weren't noticed.

If Tuma had come in shape then maybe he would'nt have strained his groin! Everybody keeps going on about "he was involved in a car accident on the way down". Does that forgive the fact hes out of shape? Look at the size of him, looked like he even struggled to squeeze in to his shorts pads!

Youve seen a guy for one period and deem him out of shape. Give the guy half a chance before jumping all over him.

Is there any highlights from the game last night? I seem to remember seeing some highlights from Hull last season

And I've seen Corey Neilson take an overweight Jade Galbraith to the top points man in the league. Give the backroom team a couple of weeks and he'll be more than match fit. No if's or buts about it.

When he was introduced to the arena on Saturday he didnt look overweight to me (admittedly he was standing in a box the opposite side of the arena to me, so it could just be my old eyesight) - just huge.

I get what Tessier is saying, regardless of what the back room can do he knew when I our season was starting. That being this weekend, not a few weeks from now. I understand any frustration towards that completely and imo doesn't come under the 'give him a chance' bracket.

He's not match fit but neither is Fox by his own admission.

If and that is if - Tuma is overweight and needs to get into good condition, I dont think that we could have a better backroom staff to achieve that.

Not sure if he meant it in jest but when Marc Levers popped onto the bench today during scrimmage and someone said "kit up, you're on the next forward line" he responded "I'm playing D today".
Tuma still out perhaps?

Give it a few weeks before casting doubts over their fitness yeh? Andy Reid has always looked fat but he's one of the fittest players in the Forest squad.
