Anyone think Ellis should alter the lines now we have Cardarelli and Clarke back?

Clarke, Mcaslan and Cards on one line? Hell, that would rip any defence apart.

You mean it'd make the others of a poorer standard? Undoubtedly, and i wouldn't play them together all the time. However, on the PP and in the last few minutes of a game it could be exciting.

Can't argue with that... as a temporary line, that trio could be awesome. Hopefully, the combination of Clarkie being back and the change in netminders will serve to spur on the team... and if they can get a couple of wins in the pocket fairly soon, that could serve to revitalise the confidence - which could well be half of the problem, I think.

Hmmm I think the word backchecking would be a swear word in their line review. You need balance, maybe on a PP put them together but otherwise id keep all 3 apart when at full strength
Petricko Mcaslan Stevens
Myers Simoes Clarke
Shmyr Cards Mopes? Although thats dependant on the D being at full strength which I dont think will happen anytime soon!

I know you play & coach hockey etc. so I say this out of curiosity rather than criticism, but why put our only centre on the left wing, and Cards on the third line? I would've thought it'd make sense to have any 2 of McAslan, Clarke and Cards on the same line. Isn't it harder to stop 2 goal scorers at a time than it is to stop 1 at a time?

Will Ellis be able to play this week end has he been de registered the required number of games/weeks yet?
If he can play then will have an effect on the lines as it is obvious that rees will be out the required length of time so he can be de reg'd

normally mentioned on official site if Eliis is going to play so i guess not, which is a shame as he seemed a great player, he must of been awesome at his prime.

Sorry that wasnt positional it was just lines. The third line is a bodge job but having seen how well Myers and Clarke played and how well Myers and Simoes play id put those 3 together and the first line are showing signs of potential. 2snipers on one line is fine but can you really see Cards, Mac and Clarkie backchecking, breaking out and setting up?! Itd be entertaining because they would either score or concede every shift but very one dimensional. The third line would struggle IMO as iv got things setup but they wudnt get scored on with Shmyr and Mopes working hard and would create chances for Cardarelli. It was more an example of breaking the 3snipers up than giving the chemistry much thought tho...

I would go with McAslan, Cardarelli and Simoes Clarke, Stevens, Petricko Shmyr, Myers, Moran Simoes would create plenty of space for Macca and Joe C. And Macca and Simoes would make up for Cardarelli's laziness!

And Macca and Simoes would make up for Cardarelli's laziness! Would rather he be making a good contribution to McAslan and Joe C than Matt Myers!! They are a tad more dangerous. Wouldn't split up Simoes and Myers myself. They seem to be getting a great partnership going.

That's great news! Cardarelli is scoring points (1+2 in two games,) we have a new goalie who wont be suffering from a crisis of confidence & our captain is back! Let's hope we get a four point weekend.
