Ermm, aren't the budgets of the two teams separate? I'm sure Neil Black stated in the off season that, after two seasons of picking up the losses, Braehead needed to work within their means?
Given the difference in average attendances could it be that both teams were playing within their budgets? I suppose Miller played for free deep fried Mars bars and all the Irn Bru he could swill right?

Was probably pretty frustrating for the other 11 guys being backstopped by Garrett...

"Replacing injury victim Stephen Murphy was a daunting task for Christiansen. The Great Britain goaltender is regarded by many as the best goaltender in the Elite League" No doubt a good net minder, but not sure about that statement.
Clan initially were making a loss, when they started up, so NB cannot really be criticised too much i.e. they were supported by NB/Aladin. Now they are getting better attendances they will be pretty well self sustainable and it is not up to NB or his business groups to spend beyond the means of money generated in Renfrew/Glasgow. After all his history is one of not spending recklessly at Panthers and as a businessman is aware of making profits.
I don't think his performances endeared him to Krestanovic. He needs to look in the mirror and not blame others.

WE have complained about NB not spending but as Cooperphil156 says he spends wisely. seems like this 'laidback' chap will not be complaining about the Giants organisation then, leaving his mates in Glasgow to pick up the pieces? Hope they get to the PO and meet up with a resurgent Clan.

Indeed Cooperphil,he does need to look in the mirror, because from what i hear Zemlak was the problem at Braehead. As for Panthers having 17 imports, err no Garrett we have 12 plus Neilson the same as Belfast have.

Utter drivel, but hey... that's supposed to be the sole province of the Panthers and Mick Holland... so no doubt everyone else will eat it up.

Quite right Shaggy, anybody who can count will know it's drivel.
If i remember correctly,it was Krestanovich who gassed Chamont and Campbell, then Tuma went up there and got hurt........hardly Neil Blacks fault that Zemlak's then coach left himself short of imports !

Have to agree with the " feels like we are playing against 17 imports" statement. Panthers are by far the most consistent team in the league and looking good for the league title.
Someone responded to Zemlak's accusation that the Panthers had 12 imports and as we all know, fans impressions of a team and reality can get mixed together during times of emotional postings.
This got me wondering. How many imports have the panthers signed / had on their books at anyone time, injured or fit?

The Puck Stops here. "Braehead Clan can confirm the signing of Canadian defenseman Craig Cescon. The 26 year old, 6’2 195lbs D-man from Mississauga joins the Clan from Polish side GKS Katowice.
Cescon said “I am delighted to join the Clan and play in the EIHL. I have heard nothing but good things about the organization from guys who have played there. I can’t wait to get on the ice and play for the Clan.”
Obviously he hasn't talked to Zemlak! It seems he is an exception rather the rule with regard to players who have been to Braehead.
