I think its tough for all the Erhardt teams with this conference system in place. I may be wrong but didnt Belfast win the league just loosing 10 in regulation last year? Who ever wins this season will probably be well into double figures come the end.

The extra Challenge cup games don't help!! Belfast did well to combine a league game with one of their quarter final matches against Hull. I'd have preferred to have kept the cup to the previous format. I know it's more revenue but those extra games can end up proving costly.

I agree with both posts, when our conference have schedules like this it is gonna be very tough to try keep up a winning momentum. This is going to be the toughest month we will have. Out of the those I would say the giants games are the most important. I expect us and we'll most of the teams to drop points against each other so getting the extra points against the giants should be top priority.

If we can get a win over the giants, and hope sheffield can too, which judging by past games is quite realistic, then that's 2 games belfast would have lost then that gives us a safety net, should we slip up. If Belfast lose, then we can too. If we're still level by the end of January ill be a VERY happy fan

Belfast and Sheffield's matches over the same period are:
Giants 3/1/13 @ Clan 5/1/13 vs Steelers 11/1/13 vs Stars 12/1/13 vs Blaze 16/1/13 vs Flyers 19/1/13 @ Panthers 20/1/13 @ Blaze 25/1/13 vs Clan 26/1/13 vs Capitals
Steelers 1/1/13 @ Blaze 5/1/13 @ Giants 6/1/13 @ Stingrays 12/1/13 @ Flyers 13/1/13 vs Clan 19/1/13 vs Blaze 20/1/13 vs Panthers 26/1/13 vs Devils 27/1/13 @ Capitals
We also have a really tricky looking final 10 games of the season, 8 of which are away from Nottingham.

Belfast seem to have the "easier" of the games I suppose. But anything can happen.

Looking at our fixtures, the Devil's and Blaze don't concern me as much as previous seasons. This doesn't mean I'm not expecting an upset, but in past years I've been thinking "we might lose this" however this year, Im thinking "we should win that one".
If we can beat belfast and hope Sheffield beat them, that'll be a fantastic boost for us

Each team in our conference has to play the others as much as we do ultimately, so just because our scheduele looks hard, I don't think "we have a tough set of games" is a valid excuse if we lose some. Take one game at a time and we can come out on top of this quite nicely.

If we are top at the start of Feb that'll be amazing. It wouldn't surprise me if we are
