So, who do we think is going to be the best player this season?

IMO, Ling. Has the quality to rip the league up. Francis will be my favourite though.

Hopefully Beckett, Tuma or Werner, but more realistically Ling.

Im interested to see how Pecker performs (pardon the pun) at the steelers. I remember when he was signed he was bigged up to be the best player in the league.
Panthers wise im thinking Franny could be our go to guy this year especialy if he can improve on last years performances.

On paper this should be David Ling, and i expect it will be.
although we always seem to have that 1 player who surpasses all expectations (Franny, Lepine, Toneys, Cook etc) and i reckon that could be Pat Galivan this year.

Im really expecting a lot from Bruce Graham, I think Panthers has been crying out for a decent power forward for the past few seasons, someone who can create some space up front and throw some big hits. Hopefully weve found him.

K-wall as ever will have a cracking season but Franny looked sharp and on form at the weekend. Interesting to see how all the new players get on and gel together as a team.

Galivan for me too. With all the ex NHL'ers and AHL'lers coming into the league this year taking the spotlight, the scene is set for him to fly under the radar and score a bag full of goals for us! Come on Pat, don't let me down!

Come on Pat, don't let me down! I agree - some big name arrivals this pre-season and Galivan could kind of slip under the radar a bit. Looking forward to seeing him play but if pedigree/experience is anything to go by then Ling could and probably should rip the league apart. Here's hoping anyway. Of the 'returnees' more of the same please from the likes of Fox/Francis/Benedict. Let the season begin

Going by his stats without seeing him play, id go for Ling. People on here have said stats don't mean much but they're a good indication of a players quality.

Really looking forward to watching Ling play. I'm hoping he is more skillfull than Galbraith and as gritty and entertaining as Bruce Richardson.
Also expecting big things from Werner and Graham.

If he is more skillful (and i suspect he will be) he'll definetely put more effort in than Galbraith thats for sure lol

I sure hope this Ling fella lives up to all the hype cos he's going to get flamed on here if not. I'm going with Pat Galivan and Franny, they looked like they'd been training all summer, they are going to be very dangerous and a pleasure to watch. Also think our own Mark Levers goes very under rated sometimes.
