We average well over 4,000 people per game. So today when we have an important game there were hundreds of spare seats. How come it was not sold out? Can't get my head around that.

Our blocks were full, plus clumps elsewhere. Who are you blaming?

it might be down to the fact that on those games when theres about 4-5000 fans its only £15 a ticket and not £70-£80 thats why i never go to the playoffs bigest sporting rip off in the uk...

Pricing will be the biggest answer. An awful lot of money at the moment.

Not blaming anyone, just wonder why it's not a complete sell out. Plus today is £35 but that's for 2 games. I just find it a surprise that it's not sold out and weeks in advance.

I think the turnout is about as good as you'll get, probably a bit down from Yorkshire this year, but from some of the others (Caps, Fife etc) why would you buy a ticket? A couple of games you have no interest in, travel and accommodation, would you bother? I wouldn't. I'd imagine that for the neutral today's games were pretty boring.
Plus, times is hard and all that, people haven't got money to chuck about.

Just quoting the ticket price fails to take into account the potential overall cost of the POFW. Strangely though, even though it isn't selling out at the NIC (7,200 capacity), some Steelers (remember them?) fans are currently calling for the POFW to be held at either the O2 (17,500), NEC (16,000) or MEN (17,500)!

Well we know what such good economists the Steelers have produced... They only other feasible location to hold POFW is the Sheffield Arena and seeing as the smaller Nottingham arena isn't selling out it would be stupid to move it there(unless Sheffield could offer hugely discounted rental costs). ...but seeing as last year it was announced that the NIC has the event for 5 years it's a pointless conversation but I'm sure they will continue to bring it up as long as we do well at the event. Funny coincidence that isn't it.

Big impact has to be the clash with Forest v Bristol City as well
Many Panthers fans are also Forest fans and you could argue the Forest match was as bigger then the match v Stingrays as had Forest won it would have almost guaranteed they avoided relegation
Forest match is on season ticket, it was also shown live on Sky and the club made it £10 a ticket as well to non season ticket holders
If you are a fan of both teams it is almost a no brainer to do Forest Saturday and Playoffs on Sunday
From experience I know it is rare for home Forest matches to clash with Panthers and we can normally do both
We went to Forest yesterday as we are season ticket holders there - today we have tickets for Panthers
If you doubt how many Panthers fans are also Forest fans all I can say is we were getting score updates from panthers on our mobile - two guys directly to my right were doing the same and four guys in the row in front of me to the left were doing the same - (thats 10 Panthers fans just in vicinity of where I was sitting)
23,000 at Forest yesterday and 22,500 were home fans
There will be many Forest fans that missed Panthers yesterday that will be there today IMO
(The fact we were playing Hull and not Steelers also made it an easier decision for me - likewise I would suggest many others)
One annoying thing is that the cost of ticket for Playoffs just for Sunday is not much less than we could have had a family ticket for the entire weekend - they dont do family tickets just for Sunday - so we didnt actually save much money just doing Sunday

I'd have loved to be there but I've literally just moved away and would have had to pay travel plus £100 for two tickets. Cannot afford that right now however much I love my ice hockey. And yes I did listen to the radio broadcast and dance to chelsey dagger in my kitchen
