What promises, you either play to your best abilities or you don"t play. That is how it is in most other (non-beer) leagues and definitely how it is in most NA leagues, which is where Duff is from. When he was at Toledo Walleye he was one of 16 different D-men used at various points throughout the season. Do you think many of those who weren't dressed/were binned went off and moaned about it? That is how the game is in proper leagues, you play for your place, no one gets a free ride.

Finnerty talks about lack of effort and players being more interested in the name on the back of the shirt rather than the crest on the front ? Then in the next breath Steelers are supposedly looking at signing Galbraith next year. Wow...........That should be fun in Sheffield then if they do sign him,Galbraith won't last twenty games under Finnertys regime ! People call it "The Stir" for a reason.

As kings itc is registered to this league, can panthers sign him and if we do make the playoffs send him out it attack finnerty and shoot pucks at de caro during warm up, just like the steelers did with sharpe?
I would pay £70to see that.

I would pay £70to see that. There is still a deadline for players registered in the league. New ITC registrations have to be done by the deadline that is promoted (usually end of January) there is then a deadline within the league a couple of weeks after, so we couldn't sign anyone now. If he had been released first week in Feb, then we could have signed him, should we have needed him.

Who enforces this rule? If he has been sacked and has the offer of a job isn't that restriction of trade? or does that not count for non EU players? I genually have no clue, thats why i keep banging on about a rule book

I genually have no clue, thats why i keep banging on about a rule book To be honest Technically he wasn't "Sacked" from what I've read, it was more like what people call "Gardening Leave". As with the case when Steelers tried to sign Panthers Steve Simoes a few seasons ago the club who has paid the Players wages controls who he can/can't sign for the period of time that he's still being paid (e.g until after the Play Offs). So Steelers have the right to block a move to another EIHL club as they have paid him for the next couple of weeks. Chances of King in a Panthers shirt for the Play Off game(s) is zero.

Is that a big "Ooops!" we're hearing from the direction of Sheffield?
Oh, Mr Finnerty... do you need a napkin? Looks like a bit of egg on your face! ;D
(Wonder if Colt King has wet himself laughing yet?)

Obviously King's sacking confused me. As has the result tonight.
HOWEVER, it's pretty bold to say a player accused of being lazy and half assed would have won them that game and therefore a playoff finals trip. If he was as lazy as is being claimed he would have made no difference whatsoever.
One player doesn't make or break a team.

Something has turned very sour over the last few weeks up there
