0.2? We can score two goals in that time.

Wonder if GM has told them to not score anymore as we need to keep it "close" to ensure a sell out next week apparently not

Even the Panthers cannnot throw this lead away surely? Although I do remember leading Cardiff 4-2 from the first leg a few seasons ago.

Brilliant performance that from start to finish.
Next time a ref calls a pen when there is only TWO seconds left in the game and everybody says "why the hell bother calling that now". Well now ya know, cos if he hadn't called it,there wouldn't have been a face off and Panthers wouldn't have scored goal number five straight from it !
Nice one Mr Darnell.

So what happened at the end? The app said the goal was scored at 60:00?

Great result. Really good commentary on BBC Notts too, so thanks to Owen and co.
Obviously what we can do in 60 minutes they could also do in the return, but provided Kowalski's in I can't see us shipping 4 unanswered.

So what happened at the end? The app said the goal was scored at 60:00? we had a pp with 2 seconds left. Myers won the draw and got it to Clarke and he scored on the buzzer

Faceoff with 2 seconds left in Giants end (Darnell called a penalty for intereference). Everyone was ready to skate off and wait for Tuesday. Clarke, however, had other ideas, and ripped a scorcer from the blue line straight off the face-off past Murphy with 0.1 to go.

Dowd sent to pen box,so face off in Giants end at 59.58,we won face off, pulled it cleanly straight back to Clarkey who was ready and waiting for it, and bang he one timed it into the net.

WD panthers, tho shame we are just a cup team, and aren't ANYWHERE NEAR consistent enough to win the one that really matters - the league title!

Watched it on the stream which worked perfectly. Commentators hilarious as always lol, Le Pen was my favourite. Does anyone know where Levers was tonight? I'm sure he didn't play but could be wrong. The goal at the end was fantastic, a lot of people slate Clarkie for the amount of shots he has off target, but it's all about aiming at the corners and he did just that, superb reactions!

Levers was playing on D early on, and decent there with it. Cant say I saw him in 3rd period? ... Nor Brock after the boarding.

Giants were all kinds of shocking tonight Our regular BBC NI curse struck, reporting live from before the game. They did say highlights tomorrow if you can get BBCNI, but might pull them given the result. Panthers much the better team and wanted it more. hope we can make a game of it in your barn

Amazing result! Oh how I wish I could have been there...
And talk about a killer instinct from Clarkie with that last-split-second goal... hopefully it won't be needed (more of the same next week please, Panthers!) but nice to have nonetheless.
Hope Brock Wilson is OK...

Just noticed the official attendance figure for this game on the EIHL website... Only 2989!! I know it's a midweek game, but even so... they can't even drag 3000 people in for the home leg of a cup final? What was potentially the possible start to a grand slam? That's terrible for a supposedly-big arena team! As has been said before... it's a good job that they've got ownership with deep pockets, because surely there's no way that they can sustain their level of spending based upon what they'll take on the door...

yeah, the crowd looked less than half empty. it's shocking to see that a club as big and on as of run as belfast couldn't sell more than 3000 for a cup final. Ah well, never mind! i'd have took 5-1 anyday!

Just about the lowest crowd I've seen at the O this season - we've had brilliant crowds since Christmas. Not surprised at the low turnout though - it wasn't until this week that it even came up on the website, people just didn't seem to know about it!! I reckon it was the regular attenders there tonight - families dont make a night of it during the week, for obvious reasons. Cup final or not.
Anyway, congratulations - it's all yours. Your team played well and really wanted it - we didn't seem in the slightest interested.
