First of all as it looks very likely that the Panthers will finish 3rd best in the league, who would you prefer to face in the Play Off Quarter Finals: Braehead or Coventry?
Secondly it is interesting to note that whoever faces Braehead, will play the 1st leg in Braehead on Tuesday 27th March. Therefore those of you wanting the 2nd leg in Nottingham would be pleased.
Thirdly, looking at Cov & Clan's run in; I think it will be the Clan that panthers will face. Clan have 3 matches against the steelers, plus one against Panthers; while Cov's hardest fixture is against Cardiff who they have 3 games against.
Currently Coventry sit 2 points behind Braehead with the same number of games played and wins, so Cov also have the advantage I belief if the two finish level on points....

Linking to what you put on the Coventry v Panthers match thread about the Braehead home game being on 27 March - unless there is an alternative date in mind for the Sponsors shirt presentation mentioned in the 25.2.12 match night magazine, I wonder if Panthers were/are thinking it will be Coventry?!! Or the 'something special planned for the player sponsors' will be that the players will not be there to present their shirts?!!
On current form think we will struggle no matter who it is.

I'd prefer Coventry. I'd like Braehead to make it to the finals weekend purely to bring some change to the usual same 5 that make it lol.
Plus I think we owe Coventry a couple of beatings this season too...

Yeah Coventry is my preferred, we always seem to mess it up in Braehead, even when it's an important game. We can bring it back at the NIC but i dont fancy coming from behind to try and beat the Clan, especially when it's possibly the last game of the season for either team.

Yes I would like to see Braehead play at the play off finals weekend, but obviously not at Nottm's expense. Also would prefer Coventry so that I can go and watch both legs, as I wouldn't be able to make it upto Braehead.
Will have to hope Braehead can upset Sheffield another couple of times this season, & well umm maybe beat us in our final league meeting I guess....

We stuffed the purple steelers last season, see no reason why we wouldn't do the same again. Especally if Mr Black makes that phone call

From a Panthers winning point of view i would much prefer Braehead.
However, it would be great to see the Clan at playoff weekend though so i hope they get through but not at Panthers expense.

I thought the same as you when I first read it, but I think BL means the same five teams making the play off weekend. That being Belfast, Cardiff, Coventry, Nottingham and Sheffield.

Cov's team is worse than last season mind, and they've still beaten us 4 times out of 6 in the league.........

Personally as a Clan Fan i'd rather have you guys pull Coventry as we have more chance of making the Playoff Final weekend if we play Cardiff If we pull you guys in the Quarter-Finals we may sneek a win at Braehead by the odd goal but i highly doubt we'll be able to beat you guys in the NIC . Idealy the teams i'd like in the Playoff Final weekend would be Belfast , Us , Hull and Nottingham .............. Making the Playoff Final is possible for us if our Defence turns up against Belfast ( most likely going to pull them in the Semi's as Hull - 99% sure - wont be able to knock Sheffield out of the Playoffs ) unlike last Saturday and Sumo is on his game which he hasnt been really , was awful in the last weekend.
