Tweet from today:
"The EIHL needs some discrepancy on suspensions. Head checks, abuse of officials and shooting pucks into stands go over looked but a hit from behind gets 3 games? If this were Nottingham it would get overlooked #Fact"
Apparently the recipient of the check spent the night in hospital in a neck brace.
Firstly, aren't suspensions automatic if the player on the receiving end gets injured and a penalty was given?
Secondly, to be fair he's absolutely right - based on Lepine's suspension last season for a check from in front, a Panthers player wouldn't have got a 3 game ban for this - they would have got 10 games.

Just ignore him, this isn't the first time he has put something stupid on twitter, he even called the Dundee fans a derogatory term and had to apologise to them publicly

Get Lepine to run this turd next time we play them. Then see if turner has the nuts to stand up and be counted.

Whitley has a rep for mouthing off when he doesn't get his way, and also doesn't like any players getting too close....... I am sure you could use levers on another goalie again....... And Turner isn't all that either,

Nottingham eh ?
Wow,now there is a joke, if all things were equal in this league towards Nottingham we would probably be top of the league.
Instead we seem to get the wrong end of most big decisions and it costs us ten points a season.
I can think of three big decisions that went against us just in the last three games.

Not at all Robbo, just pointing out that in the last 3 games we had a clear pen shot not given that could have given us an O/t win saturday,a high stick that drew blood (no pen given) in the last 5 mins on sunday that should have given us a PP but instead the Giants got 2 goals. And last night there was the late Lepine penalty.
Add those 3 incidents to everything else we've seen this year and as a Panther it does make you wonder.

Back to your crayons and colouring book, muppet-boy... (Oh dear - what have I said? I must be wrong... he said "Fact"!! ;D)

2 Mins 450 secs into the clip Matty davies spent most of the night in Hospital with a neck brace on, iand is now out for a couple of games wiht concussion That is the result of the change in the rules after the lock out and the changes in coaching because of the change in rules. He turned his back on the player at the last second so 2 minute penalty in my book. Unfortunately these days that is exactly what players are taught to do though and again unfortunately we are going to carry on seeing players get hurt in the above situation with the game as it is.

I find it very hard to believe that they would go out and say 'I don't want Nottingham to win the league' and make dodgy calls, in the same way I would find it difficult to believe they go out and say 'I do want Nottingham to win the league' and make dodgy calls. Fans just look at incidents from their own bias perspective (nowt wrong with that, of course)

Players own fault for turning his back on the Dman. He knew he was coming over to him and should of braced himself ready for a check instead of turning his back on him. Like you say Timay the change in rules have made things worse as players are being coached to do this.
We'll have pratically no checking if it carries on as players will be turning their backs, dropping down onto one knee all the time to avoid being checked.

ridiculous comment , the puck carrier can turn his back on who he likes . It's up to the other player not to hit him in the back . By the way Turner didn't have the sphericals to oblige King last night when invited .

By the way Turner didn't have the sphericals to oblige King last night when invited . Maybe he was using his brain. The game was there to be won by either team, and as Dundee were already short handed it wouldnt have helped them having him sitting a 5min penalty. If you have watched the flyers Rangers 24/7 programme Mike Rupp turns down a fight with Jody Shelley in that because it wont help his team. Doesnt mean Rupper hasnt got the sphericals. Although saying that i dare say that Turner wouldnt be to quick to dropem with King anyway, but no point fighting just for the sake of it.

King aint the type of player to just go looking for a fight , as much as he loves it . Something must have happened for him to ask .

Someone high up in a rival club has said that Nottingham won't win the league [ever] because ALL (before Braehead's time) the other clubs will do everything possible to stop them. The "league" hate Nottingham and there's a specific reason why.

Just Coventry, Hull, Newcastle (under Wilson), probably Cardiff, and, of course, Sheffield..........Hmmmmmmm actually you are right Sambo!

I remember that comment being said too.
In my opinion, as i have said before, the only way Panthers will ever win that league title is to sign a team of such quality that they can overcome whatever outside influences may be going on simply because they are too good and the other teams can't live with them.

You class Marc Twaite as someone being high up in a rival club, he was there for like a week and then left. No offence to the guy as he has definitely been harsh done by in life but a lot of what he says is rubbish and this comment/conspiracy of his falls into that category

Dave Simms did come out and say a couple of years ago that Nottingham won't win the league as the other teams won't allow it. Well something along those lines anyway. BUT The only reason Panthers have not won the league is because of panthers, they have not been good enough as simple as that. Panthers don't have a winning mentality, but most importantly the whole team from top to bottom is comfortable. Everyone does just enough. For example IMO there is no reason why the NIC could not be sold out for every game with just a little bit of effort, that same lack of effort goes right through the team.
