the general consensus on steeltalk would be that he is a scaredee cat. Nobody from the panthers went near him last night and alledgedly he just bullied us. Me I just think he's got BO.

No one went near Hoff either and he's not tough, so nothing special.
I'm sure if we were scared of King, we would have been too intimidated to drop the gloves with his boss?
Really hope it all kicks off on Saturday, run De Caro!

Lepine will fight anyone if they ask him to go as he loves fighting so no he not scared of him, but he's also not going to chase someone round the ice for 10mins

King is easily tougher than any guy on our roster. Lepine got hammered last time they fought, no wonder they stayed away.

Is King scared of LePine?
King never seems intrested or bottles it for an early bath.

That said though, I'm sure Lepine would go again if he felt he had too .

Twice, without so much as a word in his shell like... Soft team or soft coaching I don't know but it's bloody annoying!

What's the point ? Lepine is a D man...first and foremost...... Knows his job and will drop then when and if required.... you had a glove dropper with Penner Oh and for the record...I would love both in a Blaze shirt.... Just think of the pair on the same team !

Maybe Lepine was just trying to help his team win the game. He can't do that in the box

x 2 Happy Gilmore. What good is leps to us in the box when does not have to because carsole will kick him out just for being on the ice ;-)

There is no way he is scared on any other player out there. A lot smarted than our usual enforcer.

It's a good question. In the games we have played you, Lepine played hard and fair and when needed would push and shove king away from kwall and the like. After the fight. Lepine didn't play hard or tough hardly made any hits. The only time he upped his physical play was when king had been thrown out.

But is it really fear or just respect? I would say the latter.

Why take notice of what they say on Steeltalk? Most of them have their heads shoved so far up each others backsides it's a wonder they know what day it is!

I would say so yes , but for the record I don't think for one second he is scared of King . I do however think he perhaps doesn't fancy it and will avoid it unless it's absolutely needed . As for Hoffman , i would put him in the top 10 ever to play over here (not including the lockout players)

In the game at the NIC when King was chucked out for cross checking Beauregard, Lepine was on the ice, skated over and very clearly offered King out. King didn't want to know and did whatever he could to get away from him. Does that mean King is scared of Lepine? I don't think so.
Lepine has fought far tougher than King. King is not even an out and out fighter, whereas Lepine was in NA.
I think it's pretty obvious what it is. Let King do what he wants because sooner or later he's likely to do something stupid and get himself thrown out. To me it seems like a very deliberate tactic and has worked well this season.
People who've spoken to Lepine tell me that he was very annoyed with himself after his fight with King, and knew he'd made a big mistake and knew what the mistake was. He was quite keen to fight him again because he said "I won't make the same mistake again". But if he's under orders not to, then everybody knows he's not the sort to go against the coach's wishes.

King is easily tougher than any guy on our roster. Lepine got hammered last time they fought, no wonder they stayed away. I don't think a slip is classed as being hammered, you were all saying that King won the fight, GL took a couple of hits but if you're happy to think that, knock yourself out.

King has great technique - check out his fights on YouTube - the guy is class. Don't think GL is scared of him though - wary maybe

I'd be very suprised if Lepine is scared of King. Wary maybe but certainly not scared.
King does have a great technique as posted above and he punches with such power. When he fights he really does put some power behind them.
I don't really see as they have had any reason to fight since, maybe Lepine will fancy a go at the weekend. Although I think King will be on a strong leash as the result is far more important than a fight.

GL is not scared of Colt King, They are both very tough guys that respect eachother, GL maybe respects him a bit more having fought him to find out " This guys tough" I do think they will fight again on saturday as GL wants another go but he might just regret it. See Colt King is a super heavy and GL is a heavy, Nick Duff very tough would be the better fight for GL to take then if he gets past him then maybe go for the rematch with the King.
By the way to all those comparing King to penner, thats just garbage, Penner could fight yes but as awful with the stick, couldnt even throw it at the players. First thing king does is stands in front of the goalie and NOone moves him from there that includes GL, has good hands, nearly 20 goals now.
