I live in London and travel up every weekend to support the Panthers... However, it has started to snow here in London - What is it like in Nottingham? I hope my weekend is not going to be ruined as I have a hotel booked etc..... Also wondering if Belfast will make it over if this weather continues

I really wish this country would take a leaf out of the US and Canada's book and sort out their bad weather strategy!
Boris, get off your rear end and get some gritters with GPS like the ones in NYC and set up a website to allow folk to see when a road/street was last gritted and what the current conditions are like.
Sorry to hijack your thread Leo, hope it works out for you.

Yeah Boris, spend tax payers money on a system that may only get employed for 2 weeks a year.

I'd say the games aren't under threat at all. The council seem to have been more prepared this time around in Nottingham and the weather isn't half as bad as it was last weekend.

The 8cm snow turned out to be 8mm.
It's a bit icy but main roads are fine.
Unless we get more today...

Forgive me for not wanting my country to grind to a halt, even if it is "only" 2 weeks a year...
I pay taxes, and I know where i'd rather see my money spent. Something that stops the country grinding to a halt, or the local thugs behind bars getting their sky sports?
But I digress. No, the weather shouldn't wreck your weekend. It'll maybe delay your journey a bit but I doubt it'll cancel anything. Edinburgh last year managed to get through the worst of the snow storms in the North east and were delayed, but they made it.

If it was as simple as that just get the thugs to switch Sky off and grit the roads?
Simm's viewing figures would drop perhaps but basically problem solved.

Can we get back on subject? Rather than having digs at each other?
In other words, hope that there's no more bloody snow.
