Judging by the opinions of some of the Clan fans (here and on their forum), you'd have thought that the match-up was more like this:- ;D ;D ;D

Are there many making the trip north for the game? Usually there's around 30/40 for go for a league game. Was wondering wether I've got to book my seat early or just grab one on the night.

Was going to go but doubt I am now
I reckon you will be able to double or Tripple that number for this game. Doubt anymore than that will go though way to far with no easy way of getting there

There is 109 seats left in the Panthers section - I reckon you should be fine to get one on the night but it won't do you any harm in getting it now

Preview for Saturday's first leg aired on STV news about a half hour ago. First time the Clan have featured on national TV news since the first home game last season against the Vipers. Club hoping to break their attendance record and with that little spot on the TV we might just do that! (Edinburgh Capitals also featured on BBC Scotland tonight as well.)
Gotta say I'm pretty pumped about this game, Clan's victory last week I think has really put up the stakes of this double-header. It's almost too hard to call how it will go. While I'd take any lead down to the NIC, in all reality I think Clan would need a similar score to last week to have a chance of going through. I'll be coming down to the NIC for the 2nd leg and looking forward to the visit.
Regardless of what happens, I just hope it's a cracker!

In a one off game at Braehead I'd give the advantage to them but over two legs I think we're pretty much better than anybody as we have proved in the previoud two seasons and will be too good. Where we might fall is searching for a win in the first leg going for league points rather than keeping it tight.
Anything less than a 2 goal defeat and I'll back us to go on and go through on Sunday. We really need a win on the saturday though in the league and will be damn hard to achieve that in their place.

I am hoping for a fantastic crowd which will boost The Clan Players up. I would Love a repeat performance of last week but I doubt that will happen as your guys will want some sort of payback....We WILL NEVER LIE DOWN TO THE PANTHERS! Our team has quite a few injuries so that I am afraid will be our big concern..........Let's hope the Ref plays a fair game and may the best team win.........Ryan Finnerty quoted The Clan have the best team in the league right now...He must be right :-D
Mon the Clannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!
I canny wait for this game, Let's hope it doesn't disappoint!

Could go either way, although Panthers are obviously the stronger team and have much more depth than us. Goalies will be important, I think Kwall becomes very beatable if any team gets an early goal on him, however let him get through the 1st period with a clean sheet and we have a problem as he then gets increasingly difficult to beat. Clan need to stay out of the box, and hopefully lead the Panthers into taking penalties as our PP is on fire at the moment. Hope as many of you guys come up as possible as it helps add to the atmosphere. (and means you have to bankroll us a bit less )

Goalies will be important, I think Kwall becomes very beatable if any team gets an early goal on him, i assume you are basing that on the ONE game where you did beat him early and won..? because its total rubbish. KWALL is beatable if you get past our D and put enough decent shots on him, early goals do not phase him.

We have beaten the Panthers more than once! I've watched Kwall a few times, and he impresses me quite a lot, and from the times I've seen him, the longer the game goes on, the harder he gets to beat, however beating him early I think gives us more of a chance.
Agree with the earlier poster though about the KGB line, shut them down and we have a problem!

Agree with the earlier poster though about the KGB line, shut them down and we have a problem! We knew that last time (or at least the fans did!) and we failed to do just that. This time I think we will do better and i'll go for a 2-4 Panthers win.

I Ryan Finnerty quoted The Clan have the best team in the league right now...He must be right :-D Don't you kid yourself, he might think you're a good team but he also knows we're playing you twice this weekend! I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to play the wind up merchant hoping he can unsettle the Panthers camp, he's said on more than one occasion that the Steelers are letting themselves get beat by the Panthers before they even step onto the ice so he's going to try anything to readdress the balance! Which includes using you guys as bait as it were!

I rather suspect you guys wish the wheels had come off Jade's wagon by now. Why? You've only beaten us once this season, and by all accounts that was far from just down to Jade... Braehead played well, we didn't (early doors, anyway) etc etc. Personally, I think there's more chance of Jade doing us a favour (by taking points off the likes of Belfast, Cardiff, Coventry & Sheffield) than by hurting us in helping the Clan to beat us. That's not me doing the Clan down, BTW - just I think the probabilities work in our favour overall.

Just looked online to see what sort of tickets are still available and it's not looking like a big crowd at the moment. I'm guessing quite a few will be waiting to see what happens on saturday but can't see it being too high.
With a high amount of walk ups expect a delayed face off(even more so than usual).

Oh wait, we won both those didn't we? You did indeed, although the 1st game was pretty close! However, we are a much stronger team this year, and I'm not convinced the Panthers are. Some feel we've improved goaltending. Our #4 on D is way better than the guy who wore that shirt last year. Galbraith and Bayrack are certainly an upgrade on Cook and Chaumont, good as Cook was. Adam Walker and Matt Haywood are also considerably better than they were last year. Only seen the Panthers a few times this year, and not convinced its a better team than you had last year, so hopefully we have closed the gap a bit. Depth is still where you guys can hurt us the most, as we just don't have Brits with the skills and experience of Clarke, Meyers and Lachowicz, YET!
