So who is your player of 2011 so far ? For me it was between K-Wall and francis. Very difficult to decide but I went with Francis, the reason being know one knew what to expect and boy has he shown his worth. Some fantastic goals, great forechecking overall the complete package. K-Wall started where he left of a real joy to watch. So who's yours (all fans on their player so far not just panthers) Mod edit: Had to remove that apostrophe!

For my guys it'd be between Legue and Stephenson.
Legue is the go-to-guy still on offense (20 goals in 33 games) and one of the few gamebreakers in the team.
Stephenson is the rock at the back, strong as an ox and a real AHL d-man.
I would give an honourable mention to Rod Sarich. He may suffer from the occasional brain fart, but he has been a big part of the D and they look so much frailer since his season was ended.
For the league as a whole, I'd go left field and say either Bayrack or Jarolin.
Bayrack is having a hell of a season in Jade's rather large shadow (23 goals in 28 games), he makes Braehead that threat to beat the big boys.
Jarolin....wow, the leagues only 30 goal scorer and he's doing that playing for a team like the Caps. I was very impressed with him the one time I've seen him play.

And if there was a worst player. For the Steelers, Birnstill would be it by a long, long way. How this guy is playing pro hockey, let alone having played in Denmark is beyond me.
For the league as a whole, David Phillips. Considering he was returning from NA after one year in the AHL and one in the ECHL....awful. He turns the puck over a lot and loves to take silly penalties.

Jarolin was awfully quiete when he was at the NIC. I don't even think I noticed him do anything and I was looking !
Obviously you can not look past what he has done at caps so far this season, very good.

Totally agree with warx about Phillips. What a huge waste of space that guy is. Can't believe he played ECHL let alone AHL. Would have to disagree re jarolin though from what I've seen. Can't deny his points output but anonymous in the games I've seen. Impressed with legue as ever! For us very impressed with Francis so far. Like fox too - seems to have everything really

Import: Stephenson. Really rate this guy and he is, without doubt, holding together an average Steeelers D. I genuinely believe they would be in a far different position in the league without him. (would love to see him in a Panthers shirt)
Brit: Matt Myers by a country mile! He really impressed me last season, this season he just seems to be even better in my opinion.

Here's my take on each team..
Belfast -- It was McBride but then he got injured, then Doucet but he got injured for the season, Then it was McBride again once he came back from injury, but then he left... ;D Personally I would say it's now Craig Peacock. Highest scoring Brit in the league, playing some very good hockey at the moment, but you could pick any of the Giants squad this season, in fact I'd say Daryl Lloyd the last month has been are most influential player, scoring goals, agitating, playing physical, giving 100% every shift, and hitting everyone including Voth who he put out of the game with a big hit. .. One thing I'd say about this team is nobody is having a bad season, every player is stepping up and performing well right through the squad..
Braehead -- Another team stacked with talent, and if they signed some quality Brits then they could be pushing the top teams all the way in the league.. Clan are the only team with ex NHL talent in their roster, but for me the players that have stood out are Jade Galbraith and Mike Bayrack.. If I had to pick one it would be Galbraith.
Cardiff -- No body really stands out in the Devils team this season unlike last when they had Craig Wellar.. Pierce shows glimpses of quality as does Matzka but Matzka is not in the same form as last year.. I'd say Max is Cardiff best player this year, he's physical, hits hard and puts up points..
Coventry -- Robert Farmer.. He's having a great season for the Blaze and putting up some good numbers . Plays hard, and although not a fighter he gives it a go and stands up for his team mates. Also a good penalty shot player..
Dundee -- Hutchins.. He's still doing a good job for a under strength team. And he still is able to get under people skins on the ice.
Edinburgh -- Caps have a few players who have been impressive this season.. You got to give credit to their coach who has went in with a low budget Euro team, and they have already won more games this season than they did all last year.. Another player is Bari McKenzie who's having a stand out year, as is their enforcer Jozef Sladok who's playing a import role on the D, while also putting up decent points for his role of player... But Rene Jarolin goal scoring abilities have been the most impressive of all.
Fife -- Siddall until he left.. now probable Matt Cohen
Hull -- Campbell, Tendler, Silverthorn line is very impressive for Hull.. Out of them three I'd say Silverthorn has been the most impressive..
Nottingham -- Corey Neilson for me is the Panthers best player.. Every season Neilson is one of the best attacking D.Men in the league, he gets slated by some sets of fans for being a bad coach, but I think he's done a good job for you guys and does not always get the credit he deserves.
Sheffield -- Colt King.. My favourite none Giant player in the league.. Plays hard, Hits, scores, fights and he's the only heavyweight fighter in the league this season who be very impressive when they have dropped the gloves.
If I had to pick one guy out of the Whole league I'd say Jade Galbraith at this moment of the season..
