www.hrsport.net/vijesti/431449/zimski-sportovi-hrvatski-hokej/medvescak-objavio-dolazak-pojacanja (In Croatian) Looks like he's done a McBride on us and quite frankly, who can blame him. My only worry is we have a key few games coming up against teams around us and we are notoriously slow at getting players in at the best of times, we have until the end of January. Plus him and Hamilton we're joined at the hip so I can see Hamilton following suit. Plus we already have Danny Stewart and Matt Cohen out injured so we're back down to icing 6 imports, 2 of which are 38!! Just as I was feeling optimistic we'd get off the bottom of the table soon, I don't now.

I hate this, how are you suppost to build a team with the import limit and them able to leave at the drop of a hat. hope he flops in croatia and the team go bust and don't pay him.

It is a big loss and a great shame.
It does look a move to good to turn down though, I would be suprised if there would be many Elite players that would turn down the chance to play infront of 14,000 and who might be playing in the KHL in the very near future.

big big blow for the flyers.
With their current league place it maybe a little hard to attract a replacement of the same calibre of siddall.
Maybe we should loan them Mcaslan for a couple of weeks to get fit when he gets here.

crap happens, but with the transfer deadline set for 31/1/12 who's to say you won't pick up a better import? They'll be alot of moving done around Europe.

And no doubt if it doesn't work out for him, Panthers will be near the start of the queue to snap him up next year as seemed a decent player. Sadly that is hockey at our low level ... very little loyalty from all sides.

Like we re-signed Tessier after he walked out on us? Seems like he was rather quickly forgiven.
There is no loyalty. If Fox had a decent offer now, he'd probably leave. If Panthers were offered a star player, we'd have no quibbles about gassing someone to get them in. That is how it works at this level.
If it doesn't work out for Siddell, plenty of teams in this country would take him, including the Panthers.

I hated van Hoof - average player, spent most of his time injured and did biggar all for the 3 months he was! And Tessier was a last minute guy in his second spell when Chris Richards didnt join on his contract he'd signed. Tess was a good player but I didnt really trust him as when he signed for us, I had heard he'd agreed a deal with the Vipers before and walked away from that!
