But how does that compare to what the TEAM scored against those sides? That would make it a fairer comparison. The Clan have score 85 goals this season so far, and Galbraith has had involvement in 38 of them (44.7%). His involvement in the scoring against each of the other teams is as follows: Coventry - 71.4% Fife - 58.8% Hull 57.1% Cardiff - 55.6% GALBRAITH'S AVERAGE - 44.7%Dundee - 37.5% Belfast - 37.5% Nottingham - 33.3% Edinburgh - 29.1% Sheffield - 0.0% Bit of a mixed bag really!

Jade's goal against Coventry on Wednesday night was sublime and, most importantly, a game winner. Most Clan fans know his history but he has exceeded all expectations up to now, appears very settled and the fans, even the initial doubters, adore him. You don't miss him fine, we would..

Perhaps the beer is rubbish and all the girls are ugly up in Glasgow, allowing Galbraith to concentrate on his hockey for once !

I have absolutely no problem with the skills of Jade Galbraith... skills-wise, he's one of the best players that the EIHL has seen.
The problem lies elsewhere. Now I'm not one of the 'Galbraith-haters' who (to my mind, anyway) go OTT with their condemnation of just about every facet of his character... but the simple truth is that - for whatever reason - it just wasn't working here. Not for him, not for us. Him moving on was the best thing for all concerned, I believe... and, in games against any team but ourselves, I wish him all the best. A superior player, a joy to watch (when he was in the groove).

Still a sublime talent, still a joy to watch. Like Shaggy i'm on the fence. I will never forget his talent in a Panthers jersey but i'll never forget feeling so let down in Belfast either. Probably best for everyone that he moved on, good luck to him.

Still wouldn't sign him if I were coaching any team in this league. He's a proven entity and people know his weaknesses (namely a short fuse and the inability to refuse alcohol) - why not take a punt on a young player with a point to prove?
I appreciate that sometimes you need someone with a proven ability at a similar level...but this is honestly where I think Panthers have occasionally gone wrong in terms of the league. A lot of the players the Panthers sign have already got some sort of accolade or championship under their belt - some beer league title the other side of the atlantic isn't going to mean as much to them as it would to a rookie pro with a point to prove and a shop window to put himself in for the european market (classic example would be the Vipers' 07-08 goalie Ryan MacDonald. Didn't even have a fab year but made the playoff semis and that was enough to swing him a contract on the continent). Maybe its that sort of hungry spark the Panthers have lacked that's partially to blame for the drought?
But I digress. Still not a Jade fan, he could win the Stanley Cup for all I care and I still couldn't bring myself to applaud him onto any ice pad.
