Just been on the website and i can't believe Corey is going to play Dan Green in place of Kowalski on Sunday Vs. Coventry. Why play your backup netminder when K-Wall is 100% fit? Makes no sense to me. Green was signed as a backup and in my view should only be in net if K-Wall is injured or we have a game won. There should be none of this rubbish about giving him a few games through the season. I can't say he inspires much confidence in him on the displays i have seen!

It's a cup game and we've already clinched top of the group. Makes sense to give the backup some game time.

Well I won't be attending the game then; just saved a nice chunk of cash.

I would be cross if he wasnt in the nets. Already decided that we were not bothering with this one.
The game means nothing to Coventry either as they cant qualify, so I would imagine they will do the same.

Can't we just run a competion and let fans play instead. I think we should just forfeit the game 2-0 tbh, save our legs.
Don't let Coreys lad pick the team, let him play in it. :-)

Can't fault Corey on this one. Good decision. After all Greener has faced Coventry this season, and fair enough, didn't look good, but Corey has got a week to prepare his defense into being a much tighter unit to support him and give him the confidence he needs. Personallly I think Green is one of those goalies who lack confidence and just needs support to help his play, however this is probably one of the main drawbacks that stopped his development and forced him to settle for a number 2 slot.

I would be far more gutted if K-Wall got injured in a game like this, indeed give Myers a rest but also why not Corey actually watching the team for a change!

I actually dont think this is a nothing game. A win will mean that we have 14 points, and looking at the other group i think that Belfast and Braehead will both finish on 13. If memory serves me right then i believe that we were made to play the second leg of the final away in Belfast last year because Belfast finished with more points than us as group winners. Id rather have the second leg of a final at home thankyou very much.
Yes, i know we have to win the semi first but you might as well aim high

Sign up 3 Looneys, rest K-wall and run their Netty, then clear the bench.
This is the only way i'll buy a ticket.

Agree with this, give Dan a game to help him improve.

I think it was pretty much down to ice availability more than anything. let's hope so.Because this would be another reason against an easy group. Win it well and you get an added bonus of the second leg at home if this (as Caesar mentions) happens.

Will there be anyone out there going ? i hadn't realised it was cc and decided to take my mum and stepdad to a game. have seats reserved but not paid for and really tempted to just cancel them and take them to another game. this was ideal as they live 20 minutes from there arena ( believe me that 20 ins makes all the difference :-)

i would never take someone to their first game having it be a cup game. they always seem less entertaining than league games, plus now that this means virtually nothing, it may be pretty dull. would be a good choice of opposition, just make it league id say, though next game away against cov is jan 29th =/
