I think our fixtures have been arranged very badly after looking at them this morning.
Playing a team back to back usually ends up in a much more physical encounter, and will subsequently lead to injury and suspension.
We have the following:
Sheffield 26/27 Dec Hull 29 Dec 2 Jan Cardiff 7/8 Jan Braehead 14/15 Jan Coventry 28/29 Jan Belfast 11/12 Feb Sheffield 18/19 Feb Fife 26 Feb/3 Mar
I know that a couple of the games are not effectively double headers (Hull and Fife), but all of these fixtures could potentially throw a spanner in the works.

I can remember the days of old when back to backs were seen negatively and were avoided.

Will be interesting to see how they pan out, could be some bad blood spilling over in a couple of them. Disappointed there are no away double headers against the same team mind for a good weekend away as a fan.
I would take how our fixtures have been arranged over Steeler's, who have to play league games on 3 consecutive days four times, though two of those have fife then edinburgh as games 2 & 3, so unlikely to drop any points on those.
