I personally think the guy is an embarrassment to the uniform, what do you all think?

I love Sean Avery! Entertainment and characther. Something the NHL can lack at times.

I think its a bad move. Avery can do more harm than good to a team. Im willing to bet, their are a fair few Rangers team mates that don't want him back on the team.

I don't see where he will fit in after last nights game though we are not consistent just now so not going to get over excited over one solid win just yet.

Well the Isles didn't want NYR's sloppy seconds, so The Grate One is back on Broadway.
Love Sean Avery. On his day he provides that spark in the stands and on the ice. He's certainly no better than a 3rd liner, but I'm glad he's back in.

I don't think it'll make any difference, might buy Torts some slack from the fans though for a bit.

Obviously Rupp is injured, so there is a slot there. As has been said, it might just buy Torts some time - I thought we had the makings of a solid team this year, but it's been pretty inconsistant (I know its been a funny one with Europe and works at MSG) A Sean Avery keen to prove he deserves a slot, keen to prove Torts wrong that he isn't good enough for the NHL, could be a potent weapon - just look at his performance v Dallas the other year to see what he can do when he is in the mood.

Well it might create some fun on the HBO "Road to the Winter Classic" this year.

Well he contributed last night. I didn't like him against Winnipeg when Tanner Glass was making his presence felt as he did not do a thing. I thought he was there to try and help in those situations so we don't put our top guys like Callahan in a position of having to take penalties for roughing/ fighting.

Well Zenon Konopka made comments about Torterella in the media and then in the game Avery goes out there and gets into a scrap with him. May well be him trying to get back into his good graces.

That was fine but Glass was antagonizing several of our top 6 guys and he did nothing even when on the ice at the same time.

Well i'm having to reconsider my opinions a bit. Certainly no evidence of him being a locker room cancer as has often been said. To be honest I think maybe going unclaimed was a shock to Avery and he is playing to show he still has a place. He has too that is for sure, the NHL is fast becoming a young age with fewer veterans filling teams.
