Convinced a few newbies along to this one, including a few customers of mine, I do hope I'm not embarrassed!
Steelers to come back and take us all the way. Panthers by 2 with an ENG.
And ofc, Lepine vs King, round two.

Not bothered about seein Lepine vs King - we come out worst on that deal since Lepine can actually play hockey. I fancy us to win and qualify for the semis

Bringing a mate and work mate to this to, hope it's a good hard fought hockey game I'd swap leppine v king fight for seeing finerty v fox or Lee v Hewitt. Most of all I want a win and an entertaining game with a cracking atmosphere

I think Lepine might want payback after Sunday, wouldnt be surprised if he looked for a fight with King.

Win this, and Steelers will find it exceptionally hard to qualify.

Totally agree with Pies and other comments. King contributed little and as I have intimated in earlier posts we lose a top class player and they lose King. I would not get complacent after the weekend, I would expect Steelers to be up for this one.

I wonder who the 'World quality guests' are that the Panthers claim to have lined up for the game?
Probably another guest appearance from Carl Froch or Dan Hardy, although Michael Buble's back in the country, I believe?

I think Lepine will only drop the gloves if we need the momentum, I wouldn't expect him to go just for the payback to be honest. I think that fight only happened because the Steelers needed it. I would go with us to win by one this time.

Im completley underwhelmed by this fixture, the Steelers antics (Simms et al) have turned me away from these fixtures completley. Sure I'll go on my Season ticket but to pay extra - no thanks.
Im actually planning to go to watch the Steeldogs v Tigers fixture to see how the Panthers youngsters are doing.

As entertaining as it was, the last one against Blaze hurt us badly. Heads need to rule.

I would go with us to win by one this time. We did need it but King put his chin on the line for nothing. The reaction from the team, as Finnerty stated in his interview, was non-existent. If I was King I'd ask someone else to step up next time.

Why on earth after watching the highlights are people still saying Lepine "slipped" . Ive watched it umpteen times and it was clearly a straight forward loss . I like Lepine as a player but it was definately a punch (or two) that put bhim down.

But I've seen dozens of fights where one or the other has "slipped". Never been used as an excuse though as it's part of the fight. He lost (for the first time)!

I am not saying it as an excuse.
Some facts from the fight as I saw it.
Lepine lost.
King won.
Lepine slipped.

Whilst Lepine did lose that one, where is this 'battering' that he supposedly took?

Whilst Lepine did lose that one, where is this 'battering' that he supposedly took? To be fair the Steeler who initial reported it as a battering did come on here to say that he just said that in the heat of the moment and that of course despite being a clear win for King it was certainly not a battering.

As Jono said during the commentary, the only pasting was the one on the scoreboard.

This one is hard to call. Steelers are getting hammered in their press, from their coach, as well as the owner and fans. I can see a totally different game from last Sunday, a closer game me thinks. My biased head says Panthers to edge it 3-2. Not really bothered about the re-match of King & Lepine. Lepine lost that one. Lets just win the game
