Massively gone down in my book. Thought he was above all that.
What was with the major denial when in UK, then pleads guilty (assuming it is the same instance).

The Sheriff, seems ironic now.
Sad, he always seemed like a top bloke. hope his defence team do a good job.
Wonder why he aroused suspision and how he was found out? will be intresting when details are revialed

And we still don't know the answer to the most important question... ... who shopped the Sheriff?

You guys do realise there are times when pleading guilty doesnt actually mean you are. Circumstances and legal binding in US law mean certain plea's can then bring out completely different outcomes to what it looks like.
Until the judge rules we wont know for sure what the full details or why he plead guilty.

A plea of insanity would suffice, and be easy to prove!

This is probably a plea bargain...plead guilty to a lesser charge in return for a reduced sentence.

THE SHERIFF SEAN MCMORROW Sounds like there may be more to it than meets the eye. We may have to wait until January before we can judge him fully.

Never liked the bloke, always had a hunch something wasn't right (in the sense that he was trying SO hard to do all the community work and keep in with everyone he met) and this whole drugs thing seems to confirm it.
Not going to lie, drugs are a huge problem in hockey worldwide, but the word out of the states seems to be that this was a major operation and not just some "accidentally leaving weed in my kit bag" mistake made once or twice. The amounts he was accused of smuggling probably kept half the stoners in the AHL ticking over for a while and when it goes as far as allegedly hiring couriers, you know it's serious.
Obviously innocent til proven guilty and a lot of speculation until more of the proceedings come to light, but i'm not holding my breath for any Casey Anthony style non-conviction. Even if it's a plea bargain/deal to rat out his couriers and connections, he'll probably still do time for it. He's in the states, not the UK.

he'll probably still do time for it. He's in the states, not the UK. I'd be amazed if he didn't, but the whole point of a plea bargain is to reduce the sentence. If he can offer up something much bigger, then it could be reduced significantly. It would of course single him out in jail as a rat and a snitch...I guess we may find out how good he is in a real fight where the consequences are a damn sight more than a 5 minute breather.

It's only a bit of weed. Give him a slap on the wrist and get the cops out catching real criminals.
