My kids are one of the players gold sponsors and just wondered if there are any other sponsors out there who think that a few things have been very thin on the ground this year. No photo taken with the player, no invite along to watch a training session etc.
We are a bit confused as to what is going on and wondered if anyone else felt the same?

Ask the club.

What were you promised as part of the sponsorship?

Get a few of you together and sponsor a game. Then you'll not only see less of a mention of yourselves (one match programme/tannoy) but you'll be asking the same question I think.

What were you promised as part of the sponsorship? The kids get a photo with the player and you get to go along to a training session to watch the players train then there is the end of the year shirt presentation.

Go to the desk on game night and ask them or ring them up

Surely the sponsorship is spot on, afterall Gary Moran sorts it and many on here think he does a bloody wonderful job.
Do you still have to pay in cash only?

Go to the desk on game night and ask them or ring them up Yes will do. Last year was very well organised but had no contact at all this season on this.

Do you still have to pay in cash only? Used notes, non-consecutive numbers?

Theyr'e happy to take your money but you will have to do the chasing for what they have promised you will get. One of the sponsors last year had the same problem she hasn't sponsored again.

for 400 quid odd, I'll take your photo with 1 of the players is you want. I'll also drive you down to a training session personally, sure they must train on the Olympic rink few times a week. Would probably be able to get 1 of the game worn jerseys in 1 of the auctions that will most likely be coming up soon for far less.

I will do it for £375. But must be used notes given to me in a car park in a brown unmarked bag. Code word "I feel I have been taken"

Hope that didn't sound flippant, as it could have done,.Just that it's a better deal I think than a match sponsorship, if even just for the shirt.Though I would not pay that much.Thought all the seasons splendour would have been made clear before the season,If not, why not is the question.

This is the second year our kids have sponsored a player and last year was pretty good and this year nothing. Been speaking to quite a few sponsors over the last few days and some who have been sponsors for years and all share the view that they wont bother again next year.

It's a contract at the end of the day, if they dont deliver get your money back. Do you have in writing what you have brought for your money?
I'd start by asking the club first, give them a chance to put it right.

You will be fine - they cant afford to not make it happen for you even though they may have left you wondering uptil now
Its not exactly hard for them to do

It's not really a big deal and just something that we did for the kids as we thought it was important that they were a bit more involved in the sport that we follow. It’s certainly not something I am going to start chasing the club around over and there are better things for kids to get involved with next time.

it surely can't be that hard to make a phone call to the office to get an answer rather than posting on a forum not directly connected to the club?!? what was the point in posting if your not really bothered anyway?

You should all make sure you get exactly what you paid for SGS, don't let them short change you off the ice as well as on it.
