I have to say Panthers stretch of 5 games in 8 days seems a bit much for this league. Even NHL teams with their resources would be pushed:- 2nd v Dundee 3rd v Newcastle away 7th v Belfast 8th c Cardiff 9th v Hull away
(Moved from the 'League Tables thread, as it's a relevant discussion for the forum, just not for that thread)

Someone mentioned in another thread that Cardiff and Panthers could switch their respective next home games, versus each other, in order for the CUP clash to be played sooner than later. Thus the Cup game still being played in Cardiff completed by 8th January. If feasable this would help eleviate the 'home' congestion and a better deal if then we could move that re-scheduled 'away' fixture back a little more. Shows how hard it is for the management to re-shuffle things.
EDIT...sorry, modified things above as it also got me in a pickle writing it.Yet again shows the difficulty of it all.

stop whinging the giants have 5 games in 7 days, suck it up Do feel free to post again when you have something even remotely intelligent to say... As for the original point... it's definitely not what we want, but it's hardly the worst we (or other teams) have seen. All down to the rescheduled game against Belfast, and there's not a lot anyone could do about that.

I remember a Christmas the other year when Vipers had to play something like 5 games in 7 days in 4 different countries. Meh. everyone has to deal with it, it happens every year, not sure why it needs to be bought to peoples attention.

In October Steelers played 6 games in 8 days and only iced a maximum of 15 players. Not ideal!

Five wins will put us back in the title race.

I'd settle for 4 wins from 5, but the Cardiff one from that lot is the "must win" game.
Wonder if we would be able to switch the cardiff home game scheduled for Jan 8th to Cardiff, and make it into a league & cup double header; thus of course swapping it around for one of the 3 dates in february & march, that panthers are due to travel to cardiff in the league.
Yes unfortnately the weather the previous weekend has messed things up, and we just have to deal with it... Panthers are likely to finish 3rd or 4th anyway; maybe battling with the Giants for 3rd spot, while Devils are battling with Squeelers for top spot.

I think they should be able to cope fine with that run of fixtures. The 3 days off in the middle should see us through it.

Enough time for a trip 'back home' for a few of the boys, you know, keep spirits up and all that? No better way to prepare for big games than a good fill of food at mam and dads and a truckfull of ale out with your buddies you haven't seen for months.....

It's not like having a good long break before big matches has helped us is it?
