Not as bad as what i first thought but id imagine they'll assess it further.
Nice to see we're getting cover for k-wall sooner rather than later too!

Im just glad that when we're hit with situations like this our true financial stability comes into play.
No disrespect to any other team but id imagine if this happened to the lower tier of the league they'd struggle to get replacement in and would probably roll with their backup nettie.

Ridiculous!
How long is Darnel banned for? failing to control the players?
Good old Elite league, get the most important suspensions out the way first.

Vipers did just that right up until playoffs of that season when Aubry was injured - pretty sure Lee got 2 shutouts and some sort of record consecutive man of the match awards as well as some big (Belfast shaped) scalps. I agree with Vipers' decision to bring in Kudrna for playoffs though - that's a lot of pressure to heap on a young lad's shoulders.

The Vipers are and will be a small team making the numbers up in the EIHL, where as the Panthers' are challenging for silverware, as much as Dan Green maybe respected for being a stable back up his not a guy that can start and help you win a championship.

tis true that dan green is not an experienced net minder and if we want to win the league we need to have an expereinced nettie hence KSP.
Tis also true that we need 'small teams' to use your words, like vipers (who I think in previous seasons have given us a much closer run for our money), and new teams like braehead otherwise we wouldnt have a league and then we couldnt watch Panthers play, let alone eventually win the league.

I'm pretty sure the Vipers have won the EIHL play offs the same number of times as we have. Not bad for a small team making up the numbers eh?

I'd also like to add they were the first team to beat you on home ice last season - and they did so twice out of the 3 games. They were probably as much a part of you not winning the league last year as Hull were - I can't remember the exact standings but would those 4 points you gave up on home ice have boosted your placing? They may be a small team but so long as they are allowed to keep it close and sneak the wins in here and there, you won't be winning a championship regardless of who starts. I'm not saying that just because you're Panthers - Belfast just gifted Edinburgh 3 points at the weekend and those 3 points could well come back to bite them in the backside at the run-in for the league.

Bit arrogent of you calling them "little teams" They all need beating.
Belfast double header in Jan is vital IMO.

Us, Sheffield, Belfast and Coventry all have lost to hull or the caps or the stars at some point.

Abi - So are you a Viper again now? Just it seems you have reverted to using 'we' rather than 'they' when referring to the Vipers.

Seems Simmsey knows something, quote from his twitter feed:
"Zanon, Lee, Shanker and Cubbs draw the short straw."
Short straw, hoping at least 1 of them falls on his sword ... especially on the back of the Blazes exit from the Conti Cup

Either that or their bans are significantly worse than ours.
