Just about to say that. Unless we have planned to bring in new d-man then dont release one until rees fit, but im guessing everyone at the back is staying put.

Last time he played - didn't he have problems with a knee injury? ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) OMG - What have we done to deserve this ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Best wishes to Mike Rees though - hope you'll be OK soon.

The Panthers mid year curse continues for another season stretching it to about 9 in a row.
You do begin to wonder what we've ever done to deserve this every year!

It gets better. We will be vying with Little Britain for best comedy 2006-07.
Why was Blaz released when there was no/still isn't a replacement signed up and ready to play? I'm lead to believe Blaz was actually at the Belfast game.
So, was there any need for us to be a man down in games against Belfast and Sheffield had he still been on the roster?
Does this not further antagonise a team with already shattered confidence?
Could Blaz have dropped back to cover for Rees if he was still here?
Could Ellis have stepped in up front for Blaz if it was deemed necessary (not sure of his registration/eligibility)? His points per game would suggest that to be a reasonable option.
The only unforeseen and potentially uncovered factor here is Clarkie.
And the winner is...............

Well by the way we played on Saturday we didnt really miss anyone! True, but with the our only real defensive d-man down, i can see us being left open at the back, if Calle is fit then we need to register him, i carnt see the point in dropping Moran back in D and then re-registering Ellis unless Calle is still suffering form his knee

I hope calle will play while rees is out because then lindsay might actually manage to get a shotout.

You know, somone elsewhere on this forum said something about those bodies they had to exhume to build the NIC, and I laughed. Now I'm starting to wonder, especially as I understand that not all could be moved and some are still down there. Can there be any other explanation for our ridiculous bad luck in the last few years? Time to get the vicar in, methinks.....

Spoke to Blaz Saturday night and he told me he is training with the team all this week and is hoping to hear where he is going by midweek. Surely he should of been on the roster at the weekend, if only just as a back up. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

just had a thought, when ME first arrived he said he would like to give some Bracknell lads a go, do you think he will do this now we have a bit of a short bench crisis?

It was built on an old cemetry I believe. The story as I was told, was that the former Bracknell player Chris Brant was of red indian descent and when he walked up to play in the arena he refused to go in, saying that there was a terrible feeling coming from within and he never returned to Panthers again. Something along those lines, even the 60yrs anniversary was'nt sacred. Ghosts and weird things who knows. Or just all this bad luck coincidence?

what bodies where they, was it a cemtary or sommats before? It was a 'cholera pit'. In other words, sometime in the 19th century, can't remember exactly when, there was an outbreak of cholera up the hill in what was then the poor end of town. Loads of people died and they had to bury them quickly, hence the 'pit'. When the NIC was built, part of the planning involved getting the permission of the Bishop of Southwell to exhume the bodies. They were then taken to be buried elsewhere, in consecrated ground with proper religious ceremony. I gather, however, that not all were removed and some remain under the building. Interested to read that about Brant. Is that true? I knew nothing about that.

Yes Stef, information from a very reliable source. I was also told all the bones were not removed.

Is this justice for getting rid of Blaz. Yea, they did okay at the weekend but only because I bet they're worried about their jobs. Pity they hadn't played with this enthusiasm other weeks!
