Rumour on BIH that McMorrow is going to sign for the Sheffield Steeldogs in the EPL.

Seems a strange one, although, on saying that, something tells me that he could be possibly used as a two-way for Steelers, I could be wrong though, but he was rumoured with Steelers.

Although, I have to admit, it ain't rocket science to work out what is going on really, Steelers don't need McMorrow full time, but they could probably do with him the odd few times, no doubt when they play us, more bums on seats sort of thing.

( I am very aware he still has all that influence just like how he will still get blamed even though we are led to believe he has nothing to do with the running anymore)

Signing him could open a can of worms with Simon? Good, we are after a centre Sorry, i'm kidding.

As of last season players that didnt hold an EU passport could not play in the EPL.
SO, McMorrow wont be signing if this rule still applies
He would bring nothing to the Steeldogs anyway, no-one would want to fight him so what would be the point?

McMorrow holds an irish passport. Import players cannot have 2 way deals here.

No doubt he would be a waste playing wise. Maybe it is a marketing ploy to try and entice a few more fans a couple of games whilst he is there.

Still begs the question about what use he would be to Steeldogs, Payette was a waste for Phoenix apparently last season Thing with Payette is that Payette could actually play a half decent game of hockey. McMorrow to me is the import version of Andrew Sharp. Just having Payette there meant players thought twice about cheapshotting - they all knew Andre was considerably bigger and tougher than them. No-one would dare breathe out of place if McMorrow signed in the EPL because of how he fights, but imports have to be able to play a solid 2 way game and McMorrow cannot do that. Payette was IIRC being used on special teams and 2nd line because of his size. Tony shoved him in front of the net on the PP because he knew anyone managing to move him would be a rare occasion, and Andre at least has the skills to tap in a rebound or wide shot.

If McMorrow has an Irish passport why did Belfast, and now Dundee, sign him as an import?

Silly rules. Although thinking about it more if it's an ROI passport then it wouldn't make a difference anyway I guess so sily question on my part!
Do have to wonder what a guy with his experience is doing touting himself around the EPL, he must be very desperate to stay in the UK that's all I can say!

McMorrow and Payette in an import limited, mans BNL?LOL, now that Id love to see! It would either shake up the league or prove why nobody in the league signs anyone tough, I know which my money would be on.
