Bellamy looked to have amazing speed last night from where I was sat
How does he compare to other Panthers in terms of speed over the years ?

Brent Bobyck was faster, I'm pretty sure... but Bellamy has some serious wheels on him, no doubt about that! ;D

i couldnt make it last night but i'd say the player with amazing speed would be Dan Dorion. i know im going back some years here but he was like lightning by far one of the best skaters ive seen in a panthers shirt.

One of the fastest I saw, and one for the really old ones on here, was Craig Melancon, was like lightening when he got going.

Bellamy must be up there since I've been going, he was just leaving the Stars players for dead.

To be honest he reminded me of Lambert, way he wore his shirt and his skating style...

I was just about to post that as well. Didnt they have a fastest skater competition one year that he won?

I think Cadotte in his first season was probably faster, he looked to have good pace but at no time did I think wow he's fast.

Re: Craig Melancon. I seem to remember that he apparently had his blades set up so that not only only was he quick but he had trouble stopping......

Bobyck was definitely rapid, great on the PK - seem to remember Brendan Cook being a tad speedy too.
