Hi all,
Ever fancied giving hockey a go? Currently playing and fancy a bit more ice time with a different set of people? Used to play and wanna see if you can still stand up on skates?!
Nottingham Phantoms are a local rec hockey team playing out of the NIC.
We have arranged 2 open sessions, dates are below:
Friday 17th September 10pm - 11pm Friday 24th September 9.45pm -10.45pm
Cost is £10.00 per player.
We welcome anyone of any ability and any age, young or old, newbie or veteran.
There are only a couple of stipulations:
> For insurance purposes you MUST be over 18. Anyone who looks a bit young may be ID'd. This is to protect, us, you and the NIC should anything happen. > You have to have your own full kit. Helmets must have visors (where needed) and chin straps. Again this is for safety and insurance reasons. > You cant be registered with ANY pro or semi pro league.
You dont have to post here, just turn up on the night, ideally around 45 mins to an hour before we get on the ice and make yourself known to any of the guys.
Goalies are welcome
If you then want to train regular, speak to the coach and go from there.

Hi guys,
last fridays session we had 20 people down, that was regulars as well as a few new guys.
Be good to see those new guys back as well as anyone else that fancies it. We wont be running any more drop in sessions for a while.
There is also a facebook group set up for the sessions

Hi everyone. Thanks to all those that attended the sessions over the last couple of Fridays. I think everyone will agree, was a great atmosphere. Firstly just want to say that last night was not standard! we do not normally have such big numbers, so apologies to anyone that didnt get the ice time they were expecting. It was fully out the blue. Usual numbers are closer to 20, last night was 33 + 5 goalies! In case anyone missed what was said, anyone that wants to play regularly must register first. There are no more drop on sessions planned. You can find out more about this by contacting either Jono Bullard or Richard Rigley via facebook or the forum. More info i.e. training times can be found on the forum: nottinghamphantoms.proboards.com/or the facebook group (just search 'Nottingham Phantoms') Kind Regards Nottingham Phantoms
