METRO CAR PARK - back on board
Metro Car Park at the back of the Victoria Centre and just a short walk from the arena are backing the GMB Panthers again in season 2010-11.
And a special Panthers Parking Season ticket is on offer to fans at the cheapest price in town - just £45.
The parking season ticket covers fans from two hours before any home game until midnight. It's a great deal for the crime free car park just off Huntingdon Street. To get your Metro Car Park Panthers Season Parking Ticket just click on the link from the home page or visit their office at the car park.
Sounds like a good deal, if you need to park up.

Good deal indeed!! Will prob be purchasing one of these.
Parked here a lot last season, but when the droves of fans leave the arena, not many seem to be walking up here. Where does everyone else in the main foot traffic park??? It's not up at the NCP.
Just bein skanky and trying to save some pennies with the hope of free parking nearby!! :-)

I like that warm, fizzy arena Becks too much to make enough use of one of these... :-)

Isn't there a free shuttle bus from the arena to the car park, or did i dream this?
Boycott the arena beer, force them to drop the prices!

Boycott the arena beer, force them to drop the prices! Maybe i'm in the minority but I don't think £3.20 is that bad really (assuming that's still the price on Panthers gamenights this season). I was charged £4.35 for a pint of the same stuff in a London pub earlier this week. I wouldn't have minded if it was a pub of quality to match it's prices but it wasn't! Besides I couldn't boycott the beer, I like a few jars with my Saturday night hockey!

Not all beer, just the arena beer, you'll save enough for a play off ticket.
Don't get me started mate. i'm sure the Castle and Weatherspoons beer cannot be the same stuff as it is no where near that price.
PS I think it may have gone up, PPS i heard price varies depending on who is on the till.

PPS i heard price varies depending on who is on the till. I have seen it week in week out mate, the amount of times you have to say 'sorry you need to press 'Panthers Lager' on that till so I get it at the right price'.... Ok when it's your first but by period break 2 it's not as easy to add up what it should cost!

£3.20 for a pint is alright considering the cirumstances. they could charge anything in there up towards £5 and I think people would still pay. Simply because people want to have a beer whilst watching hockey.

Simply because people want to have a beer whilst watching hockey. Some places do just that. You don't get much for your $10 at ACC. Although they do bring it direct to your seat during play so I suppose that's worth something....!

I used to think that, but having lived at least part of my week down in London for many years I now know there are plenty of places to get a pint for a 'northern' price... my own fault this week for dropping into a city pub on the off chance - I paid the price, literally! I wish moving north was a holiday, i'd be loving it. Sadly it tends to be more of a dreary, rain filled existence and it's almost impossible to find fresh herbs anywhere.... :-)

What's the hockey scene like?? At 20p per pint, does it even matter? It means an off season trip is much more likely!

About the same I believe - I spend a bit of time in Malmo from time to time but haven't been there for a while as haven't had time whilst i've been over the water in Denmark, suppose Stockholm will be a notch higher. Copenhagen is a little cheaper if you know where to drink but the odd place, usually ex-pat bars, seem to be creeping toward £6. Can't really compare with here though, the average wage is much higher there (and presumably much lower somewhere like Sri Lanka). I guess you either go and see a place and spend the cash or miss out.

Thats nothing my mate has just been to Norway and was paying nearly £15 for a pint! €19 for half a pint of Guinness at Bar Oxygene in Courchevel last ski season. Even bog-standard Amstel was €6 a pint at the seasonnaire local...unless you happened to be the Bar Manager of another resort bar who happened to know the staff at said local. ;D
